Could this be anxiety ??
Hi, I am now at 4mg Pred and am having spinal surgery in three week's time on 12th November. For about the last two weeks I have been having a pulsating pain in the left side of my neck at intervals throughout the day each time lasting a couple of minutes but sometimes quite strong and disturbing

Nothing eased my pain, I was crying so bad which made it worse.Did a CT scan and

I finally have an appointment to meet with a member of the Neuromodular team at SGH on Monday. I just wondered if anyone could advise me how long I will have to wait to have a trial if they assess me a suitable candidate?

Anyone on here had back surgery ?
The wheels came off my C25K journey about 10 weeks in as my long time bad back started to complain. As the last 12 months has been particularly problematic for the old spine ( it was bothering me before I started running) I decided to go back to Doc's to ask for an MRI..ended up paying for it to get

81 year old mum- secondary hypo?

Normal Bloods, but enlarged thyroid.
Hi guys, I've read around the forum but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I have an enlarged thyroid both sides, and a lump on the right side, about an inch in size. I can feel the thyroid but its really only noticable by touch, by sight the swelling is only just noticable. My symptoms

Question around TSH levels
Hi, I have had no problems at all since having my Thyroid removed 3 years ago. My Levothyroxine does stabilised at 150 and my TSH levels have always been below 1. I have been feeling very tired the last month, developed tinnitus and tired eyes. I have just had my latest results and the TSH level is

Viral Meningits causes vision loss
They did a
spinal
tap
and my white blood cells were elevated so they diagnosed me with Viral Meningitis. Due to the immense swelling, my optic nerve is damaged enough to cause permanent vision loss in the right eye and was close to doing significant damage in the right eye.

New here
Then in 2007 I had an accidental
spinal
tap
during labor and delivery of my child. Since then they have gotten much worse. I have a migraine for days on end and nothing helps. I have tried every med my doctors can think and barely get any relief if any. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance

I am a newby here, but not to ADD!
I knew I was different most of my life, but tried to hide it. Hurt my back at work, had a spinal fusion which worked very well. But i was at a conference and was given a fruit smoothie which turned into the worst food poisoning I could ever imagine. to keep it short I lost consciousness and my forehead

I refused, I'm agoraphobic and the 12-month rehab scared the hell out of me, let alone the rest of it. I have been sat here trying to understand what

Everything is painful
I have chronic physical pain. I’m scheduled for surgery on my lower back. 360 spinal fusion. I’m also so depressed that I’m having trouble even writing this. I’m in extreme emotional pain. Just found out that my husband has been lying and probably cheating on me again. I feel hopeless and helpless. I

What do I need to ask my GP for full blood test
I was newly diagnosed in January this year with Thyroid peroxidase antibody level 109IU/mL <60.00 IU/mL which I believe means I am Hashimoto's! However my Plasma TSH level was not high enough to be medicated 4.38 mU/L 0.30-4.20mU/L I posted my January blood results previously. I have an appointment
