I have been on pretty much all of the medications: amitriptyline, pregabalon, gabapentin, tramadol, lidocaine patches etc and none of them work. I have flares constantly, I rarely sleep and am

Anyone had Greater Occipital Nerve Block for Migraine??
I'm due to try this in June as having a terrible time with my migraines and having to come off my Topiramate and Amitriptyline as I am TTC. Has anyone has a GON? Has it been effective? How painful was it? Any info and advice would be amazing thanks. Amanda x

Tachycardia and SLE
Hi, I have sle and was admitted to hospital this week end with tachycardia. They treated me with blood thinning medicine etc, but the cardiologist did not know what had caused it. I have to have an 24hr ECG and echo.. just wondered if anyone had experienced this and what they said may have caused it.

Regular irregularity
This is not about AF but I know there are people here with other arrhythmias so I hope someone can help. My daughter was recently involved in a car accident and although she did not seem to be injured an ambulance was called (a police van hit her!) The paramedic seemed very concerned by her ECG and

EP has told me that he would not refer me for an ablation
sometime ago I wrote my first post regarding an ablation for atrial tachycardia that I was put forward for back in October 2014 and whilst in the lab the EP consultant could not stimulate the atrial tachycardia so could not ablate it but, managed to trigger Afib which they could not stop even with cardio

Available nerve pain treatments
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else could offer advice on what medication is available for nerve pain. Has anybody tried different meds and found that some work better than others? Also, are nerve block injections effective at reducing pain in this area? The pain is so bad I can't drive at the moment

Stopping AF attack with heart beat sound. Weird but worked. Worth trying!
Woke up around 1 a.m. with my heart fluttering around like a beautiful butterfly in spring ... or maybe a drunken moth banging around an old streetlight:) Wasn't a BAD attack but enough to keep me awake. Decided to have my morning metoprolol early at 3:00 instead of 7 and hoped for the best. Eventually

Being shocked out of AF?
I had an AF attack today - first one in 8 weeks which is a long stretch for me. After about 10 minutes I could feel it was going to balloon into a hospital trip so I took a metoprolol and tried to chill out at work (which was dead as a doornail with only me in the store). I have not really mentioned

Pain clinic
I think this is the first time I've written although I follow the posts daily. I have Behcets and hereditary sensory neuropathy (Charcot Marie Tooth disease). It is on the same spectrum as muscular dystrophy. The two things cause multiple problems and I am never free of pain or ulcers and skin problems

Ok, so I'm thinking of ditching Dr B and heading to Nantes. What I've heard here about their approach regarding diagnostic root nerve blocks chimes with my thinking, and although Dr b will do blocks without steroid, the fact that he recommends it concerns me. I'm also keen not to be sedated. So, can

Hi everyone I hope you are all as well as can be expected. Does anyone have any experience of having had a nerve block in a shoulder, as I am due one in a couple of days. My shoulder was injured in a vehicle accident a couple of years ago, the accident also gave me Fibro, how lucky am I? Any help would

Migraine: The Truth?
I am sixty-seven. I started having migraines when I was five. I have had every procedure you can think of including a nerve stimulator, nerve blocks, cranial nerve cutting, Botox injections and about forty different prophylactic drugs, all under the supervision of the neurology departments at Queen Square

How do I slow a rapid heart rate?
I was diagnosed August 2014....but had a "heart racing" episode in 2005 and periodically since then. It become much more intense in August and I was sent to ER and was five days in hospital in August. Heart rate in hospital was 130-135. Put on Metoprolol 250mg which did nothing but make me feel worse

Local and or Steroid Root Nerve Block
I have S2, S3 root nerve blocks planned with Dr Baranowski in mid March. His aim is to block my middle cluneal nerve. I am very keen to have local anaesthetic only and not have the steroid. Dr B will do this, but strongly recommends that I have both. What are your thoughts? My aim at this stage is

Thank you to all who answered my cry for help over my nose bleeds. Ended up having a second cauterization in 2 weeks. I am hoping to get to see my GP who runs the anticoagulation clinic at our practice next week and am trying to gather information so I can be well armed. I am wondering about changing
