It is a BIG day for me...
Hey afib family! My doctor has given me the green light to stop metoprolol! I stopped flecainide 3 or 4 weeks ago and asked if he would consider taking me off the metoprolol and blood thinners and he agreed to the metoprolol but recommended I stay on the blood thinners for now. For those that have stopped

Holiday insurance with AF
Does anybody know of an insurance company that will insure you if you have AF? I am going to Italy for a month soon and have been quoted by my bank account insurance an extra £450 that I have to pay because of having AF and being on anti coagulants. I have had paroxysmal AF for many years, at first only

Arrhythmia Advice
Hello, I am a 26 yo female who was diagnosed with SVT when I was 7. I last got my heart checked when I was 20 as it started beating irregularly and I'd have a rushing/jumpy feeling. I was told this is due to my heart stopping itself for a moment to "reboot" to stop it beating irregularly. Apparently

Metoprolol
So I was given metoprolol due to having a svt episode (180 heart rate and extremely high blood pressure). I take the extended release 25 mg and I been feeling dizzy and I also get palpitations. I don’t know if I should switch medicine or reduce the amount I have. Does anyone experience these symptoms

Lately I have been having some issues with my heart. I am unsure if it is "normal" to be experiencing these issues. Missed Ectopics and SVT
Hi everyone.. I had a feeling that each time i bent over , to sift through a pile of clothes on the floor or maybe pick up a few things that had fallen, an SVT wouldn't be too far away. Especially if it was very hot and I was tired. So I tested my thought and took and ECG on a home device ( 3 lead) as

Experience with Verapamil for SVT?
I was first prescribed Bisoprolol for my svt/ vtach, (only took 1.25mg one time & had bad reaction). Then my cardiologist said for me to take Metropol, but I was scared to have another reaction. So asked for Ablation. My EP is setting up my Ablation, but prescribed me Verapamil 20 mg until surgery since

I have been diagnosed with RBBB and was told its nothing to worry about but when I can feel my irregular heart beat it doesn't feel like there is nothing to worry about. Plus I can find very little information about this condition. Can anyone point me in the right direction Related Tags

SVT with shortness of breath
The last week I have been short of breath. And everyday has gotten worse. Today I couldn’t walk to the bathroom without huffing & puffing. Along with it, the second I stood up my heart rate would blast off. Kept sitting down. Was on my way to my sons meeting and had to pull over & call 911, my heart

ECG lesson part 2
This is a brief, simple and basic explanation of the features seen on a normal ECG pattern. It does not cover any of the normal variants which commonly occur for a number of reasons. Any concerns regarding your own ECG should always be brought to the attention of a health professional. As I said

Hello all, I saw the Cardiologist today & didn’t expect any bad news but have been told that my Atrium is enlarged through the episode of AFib. He thinks I may had previous episodes of AFib but indicated that it’s not usual but not unheard of to have enlargement after one episode. He wants to put me

L4 & L5 minor disc bulge / Pins & needles
Hi all I began suffering with initial lower back pain in April 2018. This was not caused by anything such as fall, accident or lifting. I had no previous back pain (or any pain) issues & was in good health. It was a sharp pain as I sat down. This has now progressed to worsened lower back pain & pins

Memory issue
Has anyone else experience memory issues while on Xarelto (rivaroxaban)? People around me are noticing an increased forgetfulness, like forgetting to turn off the stove after cooking, losing keys, not remembering important milestones in my career. It is the only prescription drug I take. I am 66 and

New to Afib..Permanent.
Has anyone got permanent afib? My heart sounds all the time. I am on Apixaban and have been since diagnosed Oct. 2018. I'm also very depressed so my GP wants me to try to resolve this. Lost my hearing about the same time which l find very isolating. Anyone put there who is similar?
