Wandering atrial pacemaker, etc
Results from 24 ecg said I have lots of svts, constant ectopic beats and a wandering atrial pacemaker. But that was info over the phone so need to find out implications if I can get to see my doctor within next few weeks. He did not sound unduly concerned, but then he wouldn't, would he? Half an atenolol

Irritated cervical nerve pain
Hi, this is my first post. Been suffering with pain in my shoulder, chest & arm for the past 6 months. I have 2 herniated discs in my neck & what seems like an irritated nerve which causes pain to always be present in some area along its path. I'm feeling pretty hopeless, because it feels like there's

Nerve block
I'm having a spinal nerve block next Wednesday, need some reassurance that it's worth trying, tried loads of drugs but nothing has helped so nerve block is kind of the last thing to try, scared I'm in for a huge disappointment if it doesn't work, very nervous about whole procedure in case anything goes

Update on hospital appointment
Hi all, I have had something of a triple whammy and I am feeling rather fragile. Firstly, I saw my shoulder surgeon who ordered a CT scan of my neck to investigate why I am in so much pain despite surgery last October. He confirmed what I did not want to hear that I have degeneration of cervical discs

Off to Portugal with a lovely black eye
Going to Portugal at the weekend and whilst playing super heros yesterday with my 4 year old grandson his foot accidentally came into contact with my eye and I have a horrible black eye. It seemed like he only touched it with his foot but my concern is what would happen if I really had an accident

Not sleeping after pacemaker fitted
Five weeks on from having pacemaker fitted for total heart block, taking bisoprolol 2.5mg once daily to control fast heart rates. I just cannot sleep, I lie awake every night for at least two hours before drifting off but only sleep for a few hours. Cardiac clinic suggested Valerian tablets might help

Tablet change to Ambulatory Care Part 4
What a day we had 14:00 appointment and we leave at 17:50. I am now in permanent AF and they have changed my tablets again to one that may not make me feel as bad as I do at the moment. He started off with my history and treatment. To ask why they did not do the Pace and Ablate I went though what they

Query about Apixaban
I have been on Apixaban for four weeks and the doctor said to have an INR test today and it was 1.1 which surprised me as last week my baby grandson scratched my ear and it bled like water. Anyone have any idea what INR is ideal with Apixaban? I have AF but a week long episode monitor found only two

Missed heartbeats
Hi all, I have AF diagnosed last December, only on apixaban and to use Bisoprolol as needed, not tried that yet as I have been lucky that I haven't had any more episodes. During the past two weeks my heartbeats have been between 45 and 50 but over the last two days have stayed at 45/47 at rest. This

Pacemaker fitted
Following on from my past post about having slow heart rate episodes, I collapsed at home and was rushed to hospital. My poor dear husband thought I was dead. It was bank holiday weekend, the cardiac ward was on lock down with norovirus and I did not see a cardiologist until Monday. The idiot wanted
