Need advice about fistula please
Hello! I had my first surgery for a fistula today. Surgeon connected my brachial artery to my basilic vein at the elbow. I had a nerve block in my arm that was starting to wear off while I was in recovery. It is a few hours later and it has almost completely worn off. The nurse said they didn’

ablation success?
I’m having a first ablation for SVT in mid-august. I’m wondering how soon I might have relief. My condition wavers between tachycardia and bradycardia. Symptoms are intolerable dizziness and inability to function. I’m in the USA (unfortunately) and we want to leave the country for a month between

Do you want to know more about.. Bradycardia?
Bradycardia is a term that describes a number of different conditions in which the heart beats at an unusually slow rate. If impulses are sent from the sinoatrial node at a slow rate, or if the impulses are delayed as they travel through the conduction system, the heartbeat will be slow. For further

CBD Gummy Bears
Has anyone used the CBD Gummy Bears 10mg for sleep, mild pain relief etc. I am trying to find out any interactions with medication. They seem to be ok with Flecainide but cannot find anything to do with Apixaban. Found a slight caution with warfarin but not anything to do with the newer anticoagulants

Finally found some relief for IC
Hi everyone, I’m 48 & was diagnosed with IC & Hunners ulcers after having a bladder lift in 2005 & having the mesh fall apart & get stuck in my pelvic floor wall. The mesh was of course toxic and did a number on my bladder as well. I tried EVERYTHING you could imagine & kept track of when pain would

Atrial Fibrillation Checklist
Do you or a family member experience unexplained chest pain, a rapid or irregular pulse, breathlessness, or light-headedness? These are all symptoms that should not be ignored and could be the early-warning signs of an underlying heart rhythm disorder? For further guidance, download the Arrhythmia

Update on wide QRS Kardia reading
Well the arrhythmia team finally got back to me yesterday. As far as they can tell from the ECG I sent them they can see a delay in the transmission of electrical signals from the ventricles to the atrium causing my symptoms. It feels like ectopics but the rhythm is normal . They have advised me to get

Post ablation Atrial tachycardia/or Aflutter and AF.
Hi all, I had a cryoblation PVI just under five weeks ago at Basildon Hospital and all had been good, unti last night when I tried to get to sleep. I have been told I have a mixture of AF, Atrial Tachycardia and Aflutter during my episodes. Leading up to the procedure, I had to point this out to the

Sinus rhythm with Supraventricular Ectopics???? What the heck??
This started yesterday, double beats, off and on, going into normal sinus rhythm without double beats. I also broke out into a sweat the first time. I took a couple of Kardia readings (which I will attempt to post here). I woke up with Normal Sinus Rhythm with ectopics (those double beats). I take

Diagnosis Anterior Cutaneous Nerve entrapment syndrome?
I had my ovaries removed in February 2020 via laparoscopy. I had had laparascopic diathermy and laser treatment for endometriosis in my 20s and 30s, but eventually taking the progesterone only pill meant I had no periods at all which was a massive result for me and I took them until I was 52. Unfortunately

Hello Everyone I wrote a Post here last March as we were worried about the choices being offered to my Husband for the management of his PAF (anticoagulant, pacemaker, ablation). Many of you kindly answered our questions and gave us the benefit of your experience and my Husband felt pretty confident

Can Afib turn into an irregular heart beat instead ?
Hi All The reason I say this is that I do not get elevated beats per minute I am always in the range of 75 to 95 Yet my watch still says I have AF and when my pulse is taken it is irregular So I wonder if there are different types of AFib ? Otherwise feel 100% ok I am on anti-rat apixaban and

Am I supposed to take this in the morning?
In an email with my Electro-physiologist today, he referred to my continuing to take the long acting metoprolol (metoprolol succinate, 25mg once a day) in the morning. In the past, I’ve taken it in the morning, and as my personal schedule changed, I am taking it now in the late evening. No matter

Kardia. An alternate way to use it.
I think Kardia is a great home device and own four of their models. However, from experience and after reading many posts here, it seems that how you use Kardia can often be the difference between it being helpful device that helps diagnose and manage arrhythmia's, and a device that causes more stress

Do you Know Your Pulse?
Do you know what a normal resting heart rhythm is? Do you know what an irregular heart rhythm feels like? Did you know that an irregular pulse can be the very early warning signs of an arrhythmia? It is vital you monitor your heart rhythm by taking regular pulse checks. For further information

Short spikes of raised HR?
Hello again, My ablation was mid March and I've been in NSR since bar 2 short episodes of AF that self converted when I was under extreme stress. Every now and then (once every 3 weeks or so) I guess I get a short spike of raised heart rate shown on my fitbit, if I'm sitting quietly I'm aware of it

Sore knee and pain gels
I know on Apixaban I can’t take an anti inflammatory or even the gels. I’ve got a painful knee. I asked in Boots about this stuff. Pharmacist said he couldn’t say. Anyone here heard of it, used it, know it’s ok with Apixaban? 😀

Dronenadrone and Bisoprolol
Hi all Is anyone else on Bisoprolol alongside Dronenadrone (Multaq)? The Multaq has been very successful to date at reducing my AF burden to 2% or less every week measured via Apple Watch Series 8. After a 24 hour ecg holter my cardiologist thinks that I have an arrythmia called SVT (Super Ventricula
