2 1/2 years following second ablation and getting random ectopic runs and short bursts of Tachycardia weeks apart. Stopped taking Bisoprolol 10 months ago since it had no effect on the frequency of events. Consultant has put me on a small dose of Nebivolol and 8 weeks in I am really beginning to notice

Hello, just came across this site after surfing the net for the miracle cure, as we do! Anyway, I am a 46 year old male, worked in the forestry/tree surgery business most of my life. I live in constant pain due to a motocross, motorbike jump going wrong, back in 2000. I fell off at 20ft high and landed

Switching from Bisoprolol to Verapamil
Hi, My consultant has agreed to change me from Bisoprolol 2.5mg to Verapamil SR 120mg due to unwanted side effects. Does anyone how to transition between these drugs? Do I simply stop Bisoprolol one day and start Verapamil the next? Has anyone got any experiences of taking Verapamil and what to expect

Multaq effective for me
I was diagnosed with Sick Sinus Syndrome - bradytachycardia a month ago and had a pacemaker implanted immediately. I was then put on Sotolol for a week, which did not control the high rate and afib. They changed to Metaprolol, which also did not control the afib. After a bad day of high rate all day

Breathlessness
Hi, I'm in persistent AF and have been on 2.5mg of Bisoprolol since diagnosis in May. Over the last few days I have experienced episodes of what I can only describe as breathlessness. I can walk distances OK, but get a feeling of not being able to get a full breath when I'm sitting at my desk at work

Pain after occipital nerve block- anyone else?!
Hi there, So I had an occipital nerve block on both sides of my head on Monday and was told there would be some short term pain in the areas due to the aggravation of the nerve. It's now Thursday and for the last three days the back of my head, neck and shoulders have been incredibly tight and achey

SVT diagnosis Awaiting consultation with EP
Hi, this is my first post! I'm 52 years old and have finally got a diagnosis of SVT. I believe I have had this condition since I was 12 and after my children were born it became more and more troublesome. I discovered how to stop them before I ever even talked to a doctor about it. I never thought I'd

Is this 'normal' AF?
Hi - I was diagnosed with AF after being taken to A&E a month ago (feeling unwell with a heart rate around 135). I have an appointment with a cardiologist in 4 weeks time and meanwhile, have been keeping a record of heart rate readings - just so I can try to understand AF a little better. The
