Should I be chasing for answers?
For the past year I have been suffering from an irregular heartbeat, intermittently. On 18th February this year having an episode that had lasted over three hours, I was taken by ambulance to A&E. Paramedics recorded my heart rate at 37 bpm with a pause of 1.6 seconds. By the time I arrived in A&E it

Experiencing palpitations - believe it may be SVT
How's it going. I'm a 29-year-old male that's been experiencing heart palpitations. I'm currently waiting to see a cardiologist next week but I want to know if anyone experiences episodes that are similar to mine. I often get an ectopic heart beat or flutter, that causes my heart to increase in rate

Bad news for the nerve block I just went for and I feel like an idiot. Like I let you all down😔
Hey everyone, Well, my doctor had read the article and my letter to him prior to this nerve block. I must let you all know this is my 13 nerve block and I'm scheduled for another one in 2 more weeks. The good news is that he hasn't used steroids with every injection. The bad news is he didn't use

They cleared up again and have been ok for 2 months. Just an occasional one now and then. I have had a monitor on for 24 hours and I only had a couple that

Will be discussing on Monday with my pain management doc something I found that they are doing on the trigeminal nerve. Please read below
Hey guys. I've been really desperate here. I've now changed my diet to more of a vegetarian diet, no meat. I've been drinking a ton of water and I'm about to start juicing. I've suddenly found out and should have known better myself that the amount of nerve blocks I've received is really not good

Since November I have experienced chronic neck pain. An MRI of my head and neck showed narrowing in the cervical area of C3 and C4. I cannot turn my head to the right without pain and daily activities are becoming more difficult. Due to the long NHS list to see the appropriate person I decided on a private

Metoprolol action
When I was diagnosed with atrial flutter in February of 2016, my GP prescribed Metoprolol 25 mg with the words that it did three things: address the heart rate, the heart rhythm, and the blood pressure. At the time, I was also taking for blood pressure 25 mg Hydrochlorothiazide and Ramipril 5 mg, but

Apixaban eye bleed
I have been taking Apixaban for a month now and today I had to rush to see my GP this evening because Ihad a pain in my right eye and most of the white of my eye was very badly blood shot. She says it is a burst blood vessel and will clear up. I have read that bleeds in the eye are one of the side effects

For PIP, why is bisoprolol preferred to verapamil?
For someone not on medication, a common Pill in the Pocket is 100mg Flecainide + 1.25 to 2.5mg Bisoprolol (your doses may be different). I know you can stop and start a small dose of bisoprolol. But, ten days ago I had an example of repeated attacks of AF/Tachycardia. The PIP worked against the first
