Pundendal pain and diet
Hi, I've been told I need a nerve block for pundendal pain. The consultation lasted less than 5 mins and I got no advice at all. I've booked physio, but a bit of reading suggests diet may be contributing as I'm intolerant to a growing list of foods. Has anyone had positive help from a nutritionist, I

Long term effects
Since being prescribed flecainide bisoprolol and apixaban I have had 12 months paf free, I do wonder if there are any known long term problems taking these drugs?

Hi everyone,I'm a new poster
Looking back over the years,I realise I had RLS intermittently. Then 4 yrs ago after a fall from a stepladder resulting in severe back pain I had a nerve block procedure, to cut a really traumatic period short, I'm now suffering daily with rls (just in my legs and feet) and am currently taking pramipexole

An unusually tangible post from me - to anticoagulate or not, that is the question
My cardiologist has just written to me stating that, as I am getting unpleasant side effects from Apixaban, I should stop taking it. My CHADS VASC score is 0, and the only reason he told me to keep taking it was in preparation for cardioversion or ablation, but as the NHS waiting list is much longer

Had ECG today they have finally said something is wrong!
I have been put on propranolol. My heart rate was like 160 when it's meant to be between 60-80. The doctor said this could be why I get pains in my chest and feel dizzy and lightheaded. I'm feeling very scared and shocked! Is anyone else on this medication? Anyone have the same problem or know anything

Tachycardia
Hi all, I have known PAF and have been prescribed flecainide as PIP. However, when I saw my cardiologist for the first and only time (I have been discharged back to my GP), I forgot to tell him that I have pretty regular tachycardia. It's not constant or usually when I am 'at rest', however as soon

Fibro pain after surgery
Ive had fibromyalgia for years now. 8 days ago I had hip labrum repair surgery. I had a nerve block done right before the surgery. My thigh is almost unbearable to the touch and at times starts burning. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Need advice for going under general anesthesia
I am going to have major shoulder surgery and I have systemic scleroderma, MS, Shojgrens, raynards. My mouth is very tight, doesn't open wide, I'm petite so never did have wide mouth opening before scleroderma. I also have 4 crowns on my front top teeth, one has fallen out before from not being held

Verapamil SR
I have just received a copy of the letter sent from my EP to my Cardiologist and it is suggesting I take 120mg of Veramapil SR. has anybody else taken this and if so how have you got on with it. It has been suggested because my heart rate drops too when taking Bisoprolol

A meaningful diagnosis at long last
Having suffered with what I was told was AF for some 8-years, symptoms being noticeably exasperated by everything from beta blockers to the various rhythm control drugs I was prescribed. In desperation I posted my history on this forum and received comments from many people, one of whom was a specialist

verapamil
Has anyone been given verapamil to use as a pill in the pocket to either stop tachycardia or stop pvc's ? I was at the ER a couple of days ago with tachycardia that lasted almost four hours. 100ml of Flecainide didn't stop it so they did a chemical cardioversion and it stopped it straight away. I'm always

DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES
Since my neuro does not give nerve blocks, I finally broke down and went to a pain specialist. He proposed a series of 3 epidurals in my back to see if that would help this intolerable pain behind my left knee. It feels as if someone is putting an electronic cattle prod to the nerve in the back of

Started my Apixaban
As per the title. Started my apixaban this week in readiness for my 3rd ablation. Be interested to see how it differs from warfarin which I didn't get on with last time due to dietary restrictions and blood tests. Only downside is I've had to stop my anti-inflammatory meds for my arthritis (Naproxen)
