Metoprolol action
When I was diagnosed with atrial flutter in February of 2016, my GP prescribed Metoprolol 25 mg with the words that it did three things: address the heart rate, the heart rhythm, and the blood pressure. At the time, I was also taking for blood pressure 25 mg Hydrochlorothiazide and Ramipril 5 mg, but

Apixaban eye bleed
I have been taking Apixaban for a month now and today I had to rush to see my GP this evening because Ihad a pain in my right eye and most of the white of my eye was very badly blood shot. She says it is a burst blood vessel and will clear up. I have read that bleeds in the eye are one of the side effects

For PIP, why is bisoprolol preferred to verapamil?
For someone not on medication, a common Pill in the Pocket is 100mg Flecainide + 1.25 to 2.5mg Bisoprolol (your doses may be different). I know you can stop and start a small dose of bisoprolol. But, ten days ago I had an example of repeated attacks of AF/Tachycardia. The PIP worked against the first

Heart problems
I have a history of fast heart rate up to 207bpm St rest and chest pains. A echo showed normal LV size with low normal systolic function, EF 55% Normal RV Size with moldy impaired systolic function and RV apikal hypokinesis what does all this mean and should I be concerned? I'm 22yo male

Post nerve block concerns
I had a nerve root block done yesterday on l4/l5 of my spine. and all of a sudden i keep having dizzy spells shortness of breath and head aches. Is this a normal thing before ringing my gp and specialist wasting time for other patients.

Abalation or not ?
Hi .. I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation with no known triggers . Had an episode 2 days ago with the previous attack being 14 months ago although I regularly have episodes of ectopic beats. The last two attacks have also resulted in raised troponin levels although no evidence heart attack. My cardiologist

Pelvic floor spasms and pudendal neuralgia.
Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Hypteronic (tight pelvic floor with spasms) and pudendal neuralgia. Pudendal nerve block
I am having a pudendal nerve block Monday for chronic pelvic pain. I had sacral and pelvic nerves along with nerves to the bladder damaged during surgery. I am really curious how long it takes for pain to subside after the block and how long it lasts. Hope you will reply

Root Nerve Block
Hello My next exciting procedure I have to look forward to is a Nerve Root Block in the left side of my spine. I would love to hear about any one else's experiences with a NRB and if it helped. I have fibromyalgia so I'm anxious about the Nerve being touched and how it will react. Tell me your worse.

Advice on Oppitical Nerve Block
Good Morning. My story is far too long and too boring to tell but ... what I would like to ask is, has anyone ever had a Oppitical Nerve Block done to confirm CRPS?

Hi I have been trying to find out information on occipital nerve blocks and wondered if anyone has had any experience with this? Does it work ? Can you come off your regular medication with this ? I am currently taking Gabapentin 300mgs at night and struggling to have a clear head to focus on my job

Apixaban and age
I noticed in a recent reply to a post on Apixaban that it is o.k. up to 80 years of age. I am due to transfer from warfarin to Apixaban next week to help treat my diabetes by diet. This is in agreement with both my Ep and Gp. I am 83 and wonder where the cut off age comes in. It is exactly one

AF or not AF that, is the question
I am very confused. I was diagnosed with AF and on my warning book it says that AF is the reason I'm on it. I saw a different doctor ( not cardiologist) when I was admitted due to upper respiratory infection that it's not AF. Reading symptoms of AF on here mine seems different. When I go into an

finding it hard to take a deep breath!
Had a successful cardioversion for trial flutter on Thursday and all seemed to be going well! I took a walk this morning and was glad to get back as I felt it difficult to take a deep breath in, not as bad after I rested. I wander as I take bisoprolol 2.5 and 50mg flecainide if my heart had slowed to
