9 weeks post ablation
I have returned to the forum to share my experience and to say once again a big thankyou for the support following my ablation. I am now 9 weeks post ablation and initially had a bumpy post recovery with visual migraine, pain on swallowing and atrial tachycardia. I am pleased to report that I now feel

SVT and palpitations update
I've not posted here for a few months because nothing had changed. I was told I had SVT after a 24 hour ECG at then end of January and been waiting to see a cardiologist ever since. I finally have a cardiology appointment at the end of this month. In the meantime I've seen three GPs. The first prescribed

Succumbed to A/C
After putting it off since I was first diagnosed 5 years ago I've finally succumbed to anti coagulation and selected Apixaban. I now await to see how I take to it. I was 65 at the end of last year but have no comorbidities and so score 1 on the CHADvasc2 scale. Previously, the GPs I had seen advised

Chronic pain clinic appointment
OK ladies I need your help. My long awaited appointment has come through for the pelvic pain clinic in Oxford. I need to ask questions. I am currently taking 150 mg of Pregablin and 75 mg of Amitriptyline. They don't seem to be helping with the pain. Just makes my head feel like it's stuffed full

Lost one diagnosis, gained another!
I went to my GP with palpitations and fainting when I was in my 20s (I am now in my 40s) but my ecg didn't show anything abnormal. I was started on atenolol. Coincidentally I had an echo done for something else and was diagnosed with asymetrical septal hypertrophy. Last year I was switched to Bisoprolol

Bisoprolol side effects
I have been taking bisoprolol since 2015 under a couple of brand names and I experienced various side effects with them all until I discovered Cardicor. The 2.5mg tab has absolutely no adverse effects on me at all.

Cranial nerve blocks ( steroids injections) causing an elevated INR?
1. Just out of hospital last week for a major DVT ( arm) with low INR ( 1.9, 2.2 , etc) with accompanying migraines 2. Migraines are suspected Hemi crania continua - fits the bill pretty well and linked to APS 3. Two days ago I received 24 injections into skull of steroids- cranial nerve blocks for pain

Atrial Tachycardia has taken over
After nearly 13 weeks of a relatively trouble free heart after my last ablation, at 4:00 on Monday morning I flipped into Tachycardia. Attempts to right things with PIP Bisoprolol failed and only led to me overdosing which made me feel very unwell. I then had Ectopic beats at Bradycardia rate interspersed
