Our baby girl is finally here :)
So after six years of ttc and two cycles of icsi and a miscarriage 18 months ago our daughter was born one week ago at a healthy 8lb 11oz. She is just gorgeous. It's been such a road to get here with a huge amount of stress and anxiety, a year ago I could barely function as a human being for feeling

Starting our fertility journey
Hi everyone. It's taken me a little while to post anything on here, but have really started to rely on seeing people's journeys progress! Here's a little bit about me... I'm 29, me and hubby have been ttc for over 2 years. It's been a rollercoaster as hubby rapidly became very ill within the first year

Feeling guilty
Hi everyone, it will be a week tomorrow since we found out out 2nd cycle of ICSI was unsuccessful, and, along with the sadness and disappointment, I've found myself thinking really judgemental, unkind things, and I feel so ashamed - I'm not like that normally! It's terrible - I see parents with kids

Feeling lost
My first post, I am just feeling so lost at the moment. Any advise direction would be appreciated. I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis after a laproscopy where the removed a chocolate cyst but did not remove the endometriosis. It was shown that I have a hydrosalphinx on one of my tubes and that

6th time lucky ?! 🍀
So here we go again . . AF has arrived and I therefore need to call the clinic tomorrow morning and go in for my first scan and start my meds tomorrow night. Very mixed emotions about it all. I'm on a short protocol with Heparin added to helping with my Prothrombin F2 and 5mg of Folic Acid and B6

Sticky eggs
Hello, Just wondering if anyone else has been told their eggs are sticky? I'm 39 and my amh is 32 and had ivf and icsi (due to low sperm count) last September which resulted in a miscarriage. Last time I had 15 mature eggs but only 6 fertilized and only 2 made it to blastocyst. This time I had 10 mature

New Here - first cycle of IVF
Hello everyone! I'm new here and undergoing my first cycle of IVF. I'm about to go in for my embryo transfer tomorrow and I'm so nervous. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years (we are both 33) and the NHS could not find anything wrong with either of us. I did all my stims and 37 eggs

It was my God daughters birthday today, my friends little girl, why does being around kids hurt? I sat there And watched her family and her family's kids smiling wondering will I ever have that. I'm due to start icsi next week, her nan was showing me pictures of baby's and asking me when we're gonna

It has been a while!
So its been a year since my first and only ICSI cycle failed. I have to say that what I felt was the worst year of my life was because of this actually wasn't. A lot of things have happened....I changes jobs (it was very much a necessity) my husband and I grew closer together not only because of this

1st appointment done ✔
Well our consultant appointment went well yesterday! There was so much information to take in but they advised us to do ICSI which is what we planned for. We can start as soon as we would like so that's great, just need to get finances in order. I know I will be asking lots more questions & looking for

Nhs funding
Hi guys I'm really concerned that it seems the NHS are stopping funding ivf in certain areas of the uk. I have yet to be referred I have a feeling it will be ivf or ICSI for me though. Any ideas if the funding is to stop for ICSI too? 😞

I'm going back in for another attempt, this time FET...more anxious this time!
Hiya! It's been a while, so we had our 1st failed ICSI in May last year and decided to take a break to focus on my new job, get married, move house etc. So all we have left to do is get married in September. We however are getting itchy feet and want to get on with our one and only FET before going

Three failed ivf's ... time to stop!
Hi, I am new to the site. Just joined today and we have had 3 ivf failures self funded! And tried other things as well. Last ivf we found out on valentines day had failed. And more than 3 years later of trying naturally and everything else, and due to my age getting on, we have been given 10% chance

20 eggs fertilised! Praying for no ohss
Hi everyone I had EC yesterday. 29 eggs collected 24 good for icsi and 20 have fertilised. I'm clearly very happy with results and will be transferring Wednesday. However I'm so worried about ohss. I know I am at high risk and the hospital told me to inform them if I start to feel unwell. So I'm just
