Advice after BFP X🤗😪
We had our first ever BFP last night and this morning after our first ivf ICSI cycle. I was so excited last night and again this morning and then this afternoon I don’t know what’s happened! I’m crying ... a lot... and I feel like it’s hit me but I don’t understand how I can go from feeling so excited

Got inspired :)
Hi, ladies! Have just fond myself on the point of sharing some thoughts. Yesterday when having all the family around for supper my niece told us the following. She knows the couple who have been struggling for a baby for 10 years with no luck. They switched fertility experts and clinics and countries

Supplement and diet advice please?
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice. I have one failed icsi behind me which happened in January 2018. We are starting our second and last nhs funded procedure in June, and I’m wondering what supplements you all took. The dr also told me to lose some weight as that may also help? So any advice on diet

High sperm DNA fragmentation
We had the sperm fragmentation test a couple of weeks ago, as I had a gut feeling sometime was amiss as all but one of our 7 embryos have been very poor and fragment/stop at day 3. And the two 5 week miscarriages. We got the results yesterday over a phone consultation and are waiting to hear the final

First Obstetrician appointment not til week 14 - pregnant with icsi twins
Hello I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant with icsi twins (eeek!) and had a first scan to confirm this at the ivf clinic at week 7. I've got my first midwife appointment next week (week 10) and I've received a letter for an obstetrician appointment on week 14 - this feels far away to me - does it to you?!

Anxiety and panic about Egg transfer Tuesday
Hi everyone, We were so lucky that all 7 eggs collected fertilised overnight and now at day 3. There are 5 grade 1 embryos with 8 cells and 2 grade 2 embryos, one with 7 cells and one with 6 cells. There has been a change of plan to our ICSI cycle and we are having a fresh transfer Tuesday AM and sending

Well things didn’t go to plan...but that’s nothing new! 🙄
Hi all, haven’t been on for a while as we hit a bump in the road on our ICSI journey. As I have mentioned in previous post I have low ovarian reserve and my DH has azoospermia. We intended to do a cycle that ended with his SSR and were given a 50/50 chance of them finding any sperm. Anyway Monday came

Time standing still this time round!
So, this is the first time I've posted on here. Never really felt like forums were my kind of thing but reading everyone's posts over the last few months has made me realise I'm not alone in this journey despite the fact that I don't personally know anyone going through infertility. I'm in the middle

Period after failed cycle??
Hey all, We had our failed ICSI cycle last month, I bled then and had normal 4 day period. I am now waiting for my next cycle so we can get the ball rolling again. I am on day 36 now with no sign of AF. I average on 30 day cycle so being nearly a week late I'm feeling excited a miracle may have

Switching Clinics After Second Failed Round - any advice?
Hi everyone. My partner and I have had two rounds of failed ICSI and I’m looking for advice on whether to switch clinics or not? Or any clinic recommendations? Our current clinic is an NHS one (we had to self fund for second round), they are lovely and so supportive but they haven’t changed protocol

A few changes?
So we finally had our follow up after our second failed ICSI cycle and although there still weren’t any answers (I know this is normal as there just aren’t really any answers) the clinic have suggested tweaking a few things so just wanted to ask opinions.... We’re swapping from Menopur to Gonal F for

Embryo Storage Costs
Hi all looking for a bit of advise, 3 years ago we were lucky enough to have a successful frozen transfer and have a beautiful little boy from our 4th ICSI cycle (private clinic). We now have one frozen embryo remaining in storage and pay an annual storage fee. Every year I think we have to decide if

Estimated egg collection day 16 of stims! Will they be too big?
Hi all, This is our first ever cycle and we are having ICSI. We are having Embryos tested with PGS so we can only have egg collections from wednesdays to Saturday because of this. I had my day 9 scan of stims yesterday and they said I had 10 follicles growing nicely at approximately 14mm. I know they

Cysts on ovaries after 7 week scan?
Hello After my first icsi journey, we have been exceptionally lucky to find out that we have twins in the oven after our 7 week scan. Strangely my ovaries were larger than the embryos and the sonographer said they had cysts on them due to the stimulation from the drugs and I had to take it easy so my

Anyone tried Assisted Hatching or Embryogen?
Am just about to start another cycle and wondering whether to ask my consultant about the above. Anyone tried them, had success or have any opinions of them? I’m 40 years old and previous comments from the lab were that the egg outer shell was hard to penetrate/ sticky when we had ICSI. We haven’t
