A small win! Also this is for anyone needing Assisted Oocyte Activation
So a little background... we did IVF the first round(since we were unexplained and my husband semen analysis always came back with good numbers) and had zero fertilization on 8 mature eggs. The sperm was able to find the egg and bind to it but couldn’t fertilise. Next step would be ICSI but my clinic

Migraine prevention
Hello Ladies, Just wondering if there are any fellow migraine sufferers on here? I am 41 and will be doing long protocol next month with ICSI. I am a bit worried about the hormonal effect on my migraines and was wondering about starting some regular prevention drugs - have stayed away from them so far

Oh what to do.
Yesterday we received a letter from the clinic with regards to my OH frozen sample. Its coming up to the anniversary of storage and now we will have to pay for it being there. At a tune of £300 My oh has prperformance issues and cannot do it in the hospital environment so we had this as a back up so

Struggling with thin lining - anyone tried G-CSF?
Hi, i’m new to posting and was wondering if anyone has had success with something called a G-CSF uterine transfusion? If so what was it like and is it something any IVF clinic can offer? We’ve now had two fresh unsuccessful ICSI cycles & one abandoned frozen cycle. We’ve tried estrogen patches, vaginal

8 eggs, 5 still going
Yesterday after egg collection we had 8 eggs. Today received a morning phone call to let us know 6 were good for icsi but 5 went in for the 5 days of blastocyst! I know it’s quality not quantity but I pray to god all 5 will survive! I’m positive

IVF ICSI with PGD update - still in the game!
So our Valentine’s Day treat was a phone call from the embryologist to tell us that, of our four frozen embies, we have a “normal” one (it may have normal chromosomes or it may have a balanced translocation like my hubbie- both count as normal). Huge sigh of relief that we *should* have something to

Feeling Despondent
Out of our 11 good -sized follicles they managed to get 7 eggs. We got the call this morning that only 3 were mature and 2 of these have fertilised after ICSI (high sperm dna fragmentation). They have told me they want to put both back tomorrow. Having had 4 mcs after natural pregnancies I was really

Failed vasectomy reversal
Hi, a couple of weeks ago got the devastating news that my partners reversal had failed. Only a couple of sperm in the sample so treated as a failure. He has two children from a previous relationship, from what I've been reading this seems to mean getting any icsi ivf funding on the nhs would be impossible

IVF fail
Has anyone had success with icsi after a failed ivf? We found out this week that our eggs/sperm dont naturally like each other :o/ so only option now is icsi. We are gutted. Having to wait 3 months to start icsi.

Low amh, high fish and 40 years old
Hi there, Anyone in similar situation and have had success? We’ve completed 3 Ivf cycles without success. We’ve always done a short protocol, the first Ivf using gonal f and the other two using menupur. Daily injection 375. Always had something to transfer but low numbers collected (3,7 and 4) and low

Surgical hysteroscopy
Good Afternoon Ladies, I’m going to the second round with IVF, my first cycle didn’t work. The sperm did not fertilize in my ovule. The doctors don’t know to explain why. Well both my ovules and my husband's sperm were alright. So now they want to do the ICSI. However they had found polyp in my womb.

Diet during down regulation
Hi everyone, This may be a stupid question but is there a good diet to eat while down regulating? I’ve been taking Buserelin injections for 12 days and still haven’t had a bleed. I’m worried that my diet might be contributing. As I have low ovarian reserve Ive been trying to eat things to help any eggs

Managing ivf/ infertility and work?
Hi, I’m finding juggling life/ work very difficult with treatment. I started an icsi cycle in January which had to be cancelled before egg collection. With this I had to have a lot of time off from my job for appointments. Emotionally it’s overwhelming and to go through it all for nothing has been heartbreaking

IMSI
Hi everyone, we had an initial consultation today and we were recommended ICSI + IMSI. Have any of you had IMSI? Did it help to get a positive result?

Egg collection done!
Well egg collection went okay this morning, we got 6 eggs in total but unfortunately 1 was mature, 2 were a tiny way behind and 3 were good eggs. Our embroyologist said she will wait until later to do ICSI to see if the other two catch up. I know you only need one so I'm feeling very positive still

Trying to stay positive.....
This is our 3rd cycle of icsi so you would think I would be used to the emotional rollercoaster and ups and downs by now but it doesn't get any easier does it?!? EC was yesterday, 8 collected but only 5 mature and had a call this morning to say 3 fertilised. Will have to wait and see how they develop

ICSI with PGD update
Many of you know that we are having ICSI with pre-implantation diagnosis in the hope of overcoming the low odds of having our own child naturally due to my husband’s balanced chromosome translation. It’s our third round of ivf but first with PGD. I’m happy to say that, having had 13 eggs collected,

2nd Round of ICSI - Starting Soon
Hey Ladies, As the title suggests we are going to be starting our 2nd round soon. This time we are on a short protocol, so I've got to call when my pesky period shows up and then go for a scan and hopefully all being well straight in with injections. Anyone else had this protocol that can advise what

Sucess rates how much to they range? 33% good?
Hello Ladies I was given success rate on IVF ICSI of 33% before egg collection. The reason for fertility was my husbands failed Vasectomy reversal. I am 35 years old but 36 years in May. I had ET with 5 day Embyo 4BB and have 2 frozen 5BB. I would love to hear stories as someone said thats a good sucess
