EC update
Quick update on yesterday’s EC. All went very well. Exhausted and nauseous afterwards but that went after a few hours and only now getting some mild cramping. They collected 8 eggs. They did ICSI as husbands sperm count was a bit low yesterday (crazy as he has had a very high count in all the tests he

Change of medication
Hi everyone I am currently on my 2nd round of icsi, I’ve been taking buserelin for a week and started with my stimulation medication yesterday but my consultant has decided to change me to gonal F rather than menopour that I used through the first round. It seems a lot easier rather than mixing up the

Here’s to moving forward!!
So after our second IUI which ended in a BFN after 4 positive pregnancy tests it’s time to move forward. We had our appointment with our FS today to go over everything and sign the consents for full IVF. Apparently due to a shortage of donor sperm she has decided to go straight to ICSI to increase

Becoming isolated
I was wondering if anyone else is feeling similar. I am gradually feeling heaps more positive after my recent MC calamities and am looking forward to a holiday and then getting healthier for our next ICSI round in May. Things are definitely getting back to ‘normal’ or at least ‘IVF normal’!! I think

Unused meds
Hi all Some of you may have read my last post where I said basically I have just found out there is a risk of Huntington’s disease in my family (a rare generic condition). I have just started a cycle of ICSI so my fridge is stocked up with Gonal F and ovitrelle plus menopur, cyclogest and Buserelin

When should I expect my period after chemical pregnancy??
Hi there, My last period was Christmas day, had a positive pregnancy test on 31st January after 3day embryo transfer with icsi. Found out on 7th Feb I have had a chemical pregnancy. Hormones all over the place. Any ideas when I should get a period. I didn't bleed much after the cp, but have had an infection

Failed ICSI after successful fertilisation with IVF
I had my first egg collection in September 2018 and they collected 19 eggs. 9 were mature and fertilised by IVF and 3 went onto become 5 day blastocysts. We did a FET in November with 2 embryos which failed. As I'm 42 in March we decided to do another egg collection before using our last embryo. Our

Hi all, Its been a long while since I've been on here so I hope everyone is managing and okay! I have been struggling every day since our second miscarriage back in October. We were very lucky to get NHS funding but we have no more. I am still longing for a baby we can bring home and love. I got

3rd Round and already dealt a blow!
Hi everyone I haven’t been on here for a while since we took a break of about a year following two failed cycles of ICSI. We moved and renovated a house which took all our time which also led to me changing job (I worked at home) so it’s been a lot of changes recently which I haven’t always dealt very

Failed fertilisation
Has anybody else had unsuccessful fertilisation with icsi. My husband and I had icsi last week (after his successful sperm retrieval). They managed to get 7 eggs from me- 4 where immature and 3 just didn’t fertilise. It never even entered my mind that this could happen 😔

Advice needed 🥴
Hi all I’ve been a little quiet in here following my MC last year but am due to start my 2nd fresh cycle of icsi, so I finished the pill yesterday and am due to start buserelin injections today. My husband and I decided to do the injections at night this time round as on the 1st round hubby was doing

Which way to go next?
Hi, I miscarried 4 weeks ago. 1 round of ICSI gave us 2 embryos. 1st transfer didn't take, 2nd made it to 9 weeks pregnancy. I opted for natural miscarriage but ended up having intervention anyway. 4 weeks on I am still getting a lot of abdominal pain, occasional spasm, but the pain and lack of sleep

So finally got all paperwork signed, been to 2 consultation, blood test and semen test done. We were told icsi is the best option for us as my AHM is very low(8🙄😥) and hubby's sperm isn't good also 😭 feeling sad a bit but trusting God to intervene and help us have a baby after all. I was told they

Wide awake waiting for bleeding - chemical pregnancy
Hi, I'm sat up in bed watching tv, wide awake waiting for something to start happening. Realised yesterday I've had a chemical pregnancy- 5 weeks pregnant following 2nd icsi cycle. I stopped progesterone yesterday, have been having spotting, and some bleeding on wiping, but nothing on my pad. The clinic

Dealt a blow after egg collection
***UPDATE***Well that’s didn’t take long for everything to come crashing down! Another phone call come the embryologist and it’s all over for us. 😢 I feel, lost, rock bottom and an emotional mess! They took the shell of the egg and there was nothing to inject into ( if that makes sense) we have been

Early miscarriage
Morning - I have a bit of a question. I suffered an early miscarriage on 3rd Jan after our fourth round of icsi and seemed to have a bleed for the normal amount of time for me. I’m now waiting for my period to arrive and it’s about a week late. The logical part of my mind is that it’ll turn up soon but

After a failed ICSI cycle we have one embryo frozen. I was just wondering what the process is for a frozen transfer compared to what I have just been through.x

Higher risk at NHS screening test
Last Monday I had my 12 week scan and screening tests done. Measurement at back of babies neck was 1.6mm. Yesterday I received a call to tell me following the blood results my chance of the baby having downs had come back as 1 in a 100 and they needed to see me to discuss options. The options were do

Second round of ICSI approaching
I was advised after my miscarriage that I have a 10% chance of becoming pregnant using my own eggs, as my blood test revealed that I’m perimenapausal! I’ve been reading around about low egg reserve and quality and I’m taking CoE10 (or however you spell that one), DHAE, follic acid, vitamin D, omega
