Second round of ICSI approaching

I was advised after my miscarriage that I have a 10% chance of becoming pregnant using my own eggs, as my blood test revealed that I’m perimenapausal!

I’ve been reading around about low egg reserve and quality and I’m taking CoE10 (or however you spell that one), DHAE, follic acid, vitamin D, omega 3 capsules. I’ve found that I need to eat organic foods and lots of colourful veg and fruits.

I’m awaiting a spinal op before I go for my second round, so have a bit of time to improve my egg quality if possible. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi ya. I’m on my fourth round of icsi. First two rounds we didn’t get to a transfer. We found out that we needed to switch to donar sperm. However we were worried about my egg quality too. My clinic put me on 600 of CoQ10 daily. 75mg of dhea. Omega 3. B complex, vitamin d3, 5mg of folic acid and 3mg melatonin at night and I have to say I really believe it made a big difference with my egg quality

You really need to be taking them for about 3 months to see the difference. I was recommended from one of the girls on this to read “it starts with the egg” the book goes into vitamins in a big way and I found it brilliant... give it a go id say.

I’m on my 2ww at the mo with a 3ab blastocyst, so fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks TeenyTiny.....it seems I’m on the right track. Had a call from the clinic yesterday too and they are going to try normal stim injections alongside menopure, as it’s worth a shot.

Wish you the very best of luck and the only advice I have is don’t check early, try to be patient and wait for test day xxxx

It sounds like you're doing all that you can so no advice really apart from if you are considering taking the supplements then best to get started as they take around 3 months to make an impact, especially for egg quality....DHEA etc.xx

Thank you Cinderella5. I’ve started all of the supplements and the consultant said he’d try stims with menopure next time too.
