Early miscarriage

Morning - I have a bit of a question. I suffered an early miscarriage on 3rd Jan after our fourth round of icsi and seemed to have a bleed for the normal amount of time for me. I’m now waiting for my period to arrive and it’s about a week late. The logical part of my mind is that it’ll turn up soon but I’m starting to worry that something is wrong. Does anyone have any experience of this and how long did your cycle take to get back to normal?

I had a mmc in November for which I had medical management. I was 9w with twins. I bled for exactly 2 weeks and I passed the final bit 2 weeks from the day I had medical management. My period arrived 4 weeks to the day from passing the last bit x

Morning Emma, I'm so sorry about your miscarriage , I hope you are grieving as well as can be.

Check the replies to a post of mine - 'How much to expect' a few weeks ago, some lovely ladies shared details with me of their bleeds. I had a 1 day non-normal, lets say extreme quite frankly shocking bleed, then a week later what looked like a light but normal looking bleed...But from the sounds of things - these miscarriages vary in nature! Can you afford/are open to acupuncture to help regulate your cycles again?

I was really thrown by my second bleed and after that was very upset by the not knowing where I am/was in my cycle, had a full on crisis of who am I, where am I etc etc which was quite entertaining looking back. Hormones! I guess since I starting using charting as a birth control sometime well before TTC I have been so in tune with my body and cycles, its been incredibly disorientating. Try not to worry, I guess, really looking after yourself, saying no to going out as much if its too tiring, reading easy books, restorative yoga positions, lots of videos on youtube for post miscarriage, eat really well, I've been taking floradix as I've been anaemic since . Just really look after yourself, as your body has been through a lot.

Hi I just had an MVA on the 5th Jan at 12w I just got my 1st period back on mon was 30 days with my 2 natural mc it was roughly the same 28-30 days. Im so pleased as waiting for the first one not knowing how long it will take is a right pain. Some times after my periods are a little different in colour and flow usually lighter and more pink than red then goes back to normal. Everyones different and can take 8w to get first af and can become irregular for a bit.

Thank you for all your replies and it’s made me feel better that each one is different, I think because after our first mmc my cycle returned to normally quickly I was panicking that this time it hadn’t. I’m going to try and stop worrying about it now. xx
