EC update

Quick update on yesterday’s EC. All went very well. Exhausted and nauseous afterwards but that went after a few hours and only now getting some mild cramping. They collected 8 eggs. They did ICSI as husbands sperm count was a bit low yesterday (crazy as he has had a very high count in all the tests he has had before). Clinic called this morning to say that all eggs were all mature and 6 had fertilised! ‘This is better than we ever expected. So very happy right now. We know there’s a long way to go but positive at the moment. I always thought my husband and I might not be compatible, so this result has definitely been a relief.

Great news!! I am starting my ivf soon as well, and I was wondering if you had any injection or medication after EC to prepare your womb lining?

I started progesterone suppositories the day of egg collection and will take them now until I either get a negative test or, if positive, until 12 weeks of pregnancy. Good luck x
