Sperm Binding and ICSI
I will be starting my second IVF cycle (long protocol from scratch) in October. My first cycle was disappointing as only 3 of my 12 mature eggs fertilised, with only 1 embryo left of the batch which unfortunately resulted in a chemical pregnancy. After waiting a month for my follow-up, I was surprised

Medication after egg collection
Hi, I just had my egg collection this morning and I am wondering how common it is for estradiol and progesterone to be recommended? My Dr told me to take the progesterone 3x a day and when I asked if I should take the estradiol he said “Sure, take it twice a day” it didn’t fill me with confidence so

Advise on FSH levels
Hi ladies, hope you are all well? I was wondering if anyone had any advice on FSH levels? During our first rounds of icsi my FSH was 12, which wasn’t great, but we were so lucky to have a little girl after our second round. I am now looking at starting the journey again, so am in the process of having

ICSI Male Factor
Hi everyone, We are about to start our first cycle of IVF / ICSI as my husband has a low sperm count. He has given two samples so far to be frozen and I had my drug appointment today. Unfortunately I was told that may not be able to go ahead with this cycle as the samples weren’t good enough and may

Sorry for the stupid question: how do you know if you have a problem with egg quality?
Hi Ladies Been wondering about this for a while so I thought I was would ask 😂. My husband has now been told (after years of perfect sperm tests) that he has low motility. We are wondering if it’s due to him taking a lot of gym supplements (pre-workout, protein powder etc.) prior to our last ICSI round

Our first cycle - fail.
Hi, we have just had ICSI, collection 16 eggs from 30 follicles. 11 matured 5 fertilised. 5 day 5 blastocysts 1 fresh embryo transfer and then day 6 the blastocyst not good enough grade to freeze apparently. Thought it had worked but I came on early after spotting for a couple of days. Gutted but will

Help! Testing after ICSI/IVF
Hey, So I had my first round of ICSI recently. I’m currently (just this morning) 8 days post transfer with a 5 day embryo. I KNOW you’re not meant to test before 11 days after the transfer but I couldn’t wait. The top test in the picture is from 4dpt (a very very faint positive), 7dpt (a fairly defined

LH and FSH levels
Hi ladies, I was wondering if I could ask your advice? I have recently had my bloods taken on the 4th day of my period and stupidly I asked the doctor for the results. My LH is 9 iu/L My FSH is 23iu/L When I went through our first rounds of icsi my FSH was 12 and I was told this was high. Obviously 23

DE ivf done! Embryo grading question
Isn’t the waiting for the fertilisation call, and the day 3,5 and 6 calls one of the worst parts of ivf?! My sister donated eggs to me last week, we got 13, 10 fertilised with icsi, and we now have 4 in the freezer frozen on day 5 and 6! We feel really lucky as the day 3 call was not that great news!

UPDATE: day 3 embryo + day 5 blast
So it has been nearly a week since our egg collection and ICSI for future FET, and although we decided to freeze our only two successfully fertilized eggs on Day 3, which was Sunday, the clinic informed us that one of them couldn't be frozen yet because it only had 7 cells on the morning of Day 3 still

Feeling deflated and needing a boost of positivity!
So we are doing our 5th fresh cycle and this will be our last round due to the stress of 3 years of IVF wearing us down and the finances. Previously we had always done short protocols as I have PCOS and ICSI as husband has DNA fragmentation. This has been our first long protocol go. Overall felt much

Hydrocele experiences?
We are currently going through ICSI treatment. A few years ago my husband was diagnosed with a hydrocele and a ‘bulking head of the tube carrying sperms’ after finding a lump, blood in his semen and pain. There was reference to an infection at some stage but we were never told what the infection was,

ICSI failure symptoms
Has anyone had any pain after having a failed embryo transfer at blastocyst stage (ICSI)? I seem to be having cramps a lot.

Where next???.... period came D9p5dt ... day before test! Totally devastated! This is our 2nd cycle of ICSI; got 6 eggs, 5 fertile, 3 day 3 embryos and only 1 transferable. None to freeze. UPDATE: deciding to freeze our pair of day 3 embryos
Sorry for all of the drama, this has just been very hard on me, and with all the drugs I often haven't felt like myself. Deleted other posts to make things simpler. We did a short protocol ICSI cycle this month (just 7 days of menopur) and now have 2 developing embryos that we have to freeze for future

HELP! Advice needed!! Donor sperm and no word from clinic
Hello everyone, I’m looking for advice regarding our clinic. We were due to begin our third round of IVF (after 2 failed ICSI rounds) but using donor sperm this time. My husband has recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness. Due to me having lost my right Fallopian tube after an ectopic pregnancy
