Isn’t the waiting for the fertilisation call, and the day 3,5 and 6 calls one of the worst parts of ivf?! My sister donated eggs to me last week, we got 13, 10 fertilised with icsi, and we now have 4 in the freezer frozen on day 5 and 6! We feel really lucky as the day 3 call was not that great news!
I only really had poor embryos with my own eggs, so I was just wondering if anyone had experience with the following grades? Would like to hear of any stories using those grades
Day 5: 4ab and 4bb
Day 6: 5cb and 3bb
We are transferring into a surrogate this time after multiple miscarriages and chemical pregnancies, including 5 retrieval’s of my own eggs and one from my friends eggs all failed in me
Thank you!xx

Hey Orla, this is fabulous news! Well done your wonderful sister, amazing girl!! Those gradings are really not too bad at all.....C's arent the best but A's and B's are really decent....obviously A is best. However the biggest thing to remember is they only freeze ones that they think are good so you have 4 goodies there. Obviously cant offer any experience of success from my crap body but that all sounds really positive. Best of luck with your amazing surrogate....gosh you have some wonderful people around you!xxx
Brilliant news - So good to have 4 in the freezer!
My 3 week old boy is the result of transferring a 4BB! We’d previously transferred slightly higher grade embryos and they didn’t stick. Your grades look good to me - we had a similar mix and the dr was happy with them. Wishing you loads of luck, what an amazing sister you have xx
Great news! So glad it all went well and great to have some in the freezer (which wouldn’t have made it to freeze if they didn’t think they were decent quality). Wishing you the best of luck lovely - really hoping this is your time xxx
Congratulations Orla! I've no experience to offer, but it sounds like your sister has done you proud. I really hope this is your time - all the luck in the world to you. Lots of love. xx
