Medication after egg collection

Hi, I just had my egg collection this morning and I am wondering how common it is for estradiol and progesterone to be recommended? My Dr told me to take the progesterone 3x a day and when I asked if I should take the estradiol he said “Sure, take it twice a day” it didn’t fill me with confidence so just wondering what the norm is. (I am a Brit living in and going through ICSI in France which adds another layer of confusion to this whole process for me) Thanks 😊

I normally start 400mg of progesterone morning and evening day after EC and nothing more. Did they do a blood test prior to EC? I have never been prescribed anything other than progesterone and was always told a total of 800mg a day was way over what anyone really needed but just for safety sake x

Hello, thanks for your reply. Yep they did a blood test on Saturday.

Progesterone is a common one to take in prep for embryo transfer. Ive not heard of estradiol being used for a fresh transfer unless they are trying to plump your lining up a bit. Good luck.xx
