Anyone else waiting for Urologist for surgical sperm retrieval?
We have recently found out my husband has azoospermia and will need a consultation/ blood tests with a urologist, followed by (hopefully) a surgical sperm retrieval for icsi. However, the wait for the urology consultation is 5 months and then potentially same again or longer for actual procedure. Meaning

Barcelona recommendations
Hi, I’m preparing for the worst with this Icsi cycle (only 3 eggs collected and 1 fertilised) so as part of my coping strategy am going to start looking into options for egg donation abroad (I know waiting lists are long in the UK) If you have any recommendations would you mind PM me? Thanks 💗 xx

Doubts and dealing with stress
I always find people here so helpful so I’m looking for advise. I started my 3rd FET last week, had my prostap and go for my baseline scan next week. Over the weekend I suddenly started stressing so much. It’s our last chance, our last embryo, I worry so much. The next few weeks are going to be hard

Coping after first IVF cycle failed
Hey everyone My husband and I just finished our first ICSI cycle, which resulted in a negative pregnancy test on Friday. It has been such a rocky road, I have a low ovarian reserve and my husband has a low count, low motility and DNA fragmented sperm so we both have fertility issues. At our egg retrieval

ICSI - wait times
i wonder if anyone has any tips or advise? We have just been told that we need to go for ICSI, trying to come to terms with it Also, Is it worth going through NHS or just go for private? Just read some posts about delays with NHS, wonder if thats still the case? Can anyone advise how long they had to

Feeling disappointed
Hi guys, Just hoping for a little encouragement! I feel really disappointed today after my day 9 stims scan. Only 2 follicles on my left ovary (that are huge apparently) and 4 on my right. EC due next week. I’m on the max dose of meriofert 450 and I have fewer follicles than my last failed ICSI cycle

I’m back
Hello all, I am back and trying again. 16 months ago I was the luckiest person alive and I gave birth to our beautiful son Rowan. He was our second attempt at a FET transfer after having icsi. We are now ready to start for baby number 2. All you first time mummies to be, keep going, it’s hard and emotional

Hi everyone I've avoided this site for 3 years has I had to but everything in a box for a while and just get on with life. Me and my other half fully agreed to IVF last august. We saw a specialist urologist who suggested sperm retrieval for my partner who had previously had a failed vasectomy. He underwent

Gonal F.... not really feeling it!
Hi alla, so Iv started my IVF ICSI medication and I’m on Gonal F (day 4) honestly I thought I’d be feeling it more, like something around me ovaries or soreness. Up until now I’m only feeling quite tired and a little dizzy. But I don’t know for some reason I felt like once I start the medication I’d

Stims - fuzzy head!
Hi everyone, We’ve just started round 2 of Icsi and they’ve upped my dose of meriofert to 450 and I feel really fuzzy headed and exhausted. It’s only day 2, so I’m not sure how I’ll cope with a week of this and work?! Has anyone else felt like this or is it just me? X

First round - no embryos to transfer
I received the awful news this morning that none of the 5 eggs from my first collection yesterday have made it. Two were mature, one didn't survive ICSI and the other did but didn't make it through the night. I'm so so gutted. I knew this was a hard journey, but I naively didn't think it would be over

Egg collection: 6 eggs
Hi guys, quick update after my egg collection, I had seven follicles going into today, got 6 eggs that will be fertilised through ICSI now...one had too small of an egg to proceed. Now waiting for my call tomorrow to find out how the fertilisation rates were - but for my stats I'm pleased with this stage

Egg collection Thursday!
Here goes round 3... I had my second scan - day 11 stimming - and I seem to be, on the whole, reacting best to this cycle in terms of growth (have 5 on right and 2 on left, growing in a clump of similar sizes so none too dominant). They've set me for egg collection on Thursday and then we're doing ICSI
