Hi Nic, I'm surprised they've given u an option. I just get told what drugs I'm going on....much easier. Have u asked them what has the least side effects?
I'm currently on buserelin until egg collection. I'm currently on day 10 and only just starting to get side effects of tiredness, disturbed sleep and occasional hot flushes but it's nothing too bad at the moment and completely manageable. I had microgynon pill when I was a teenager and it really didn't agree with me so I would probably stick to buserelin personally. However lots of ppl have no side effects from microgynon as it's a commonly used pill....and bad side effects from buserelin....so it's really hard for me to say what you should do.
Hello , Well i have had both before and have had no side effects , i just hate that they have given me the choice. the only thing that make me think is that the sugar coated tablets the the microgynon is - the testure makes me feel sick.... i think i will just go with just the buserelin but hate that i have to make this choice. xx
Yeh I'd probably just stick with buserelin and at least you know where your at for a while then before any change in meds. Totally get how your feeling about not wanting a choice. I'd much rather be told. Good luck 🤞 xxx
I would personally opt for the just buserlin option. I had one cycle where my clinic put me on Microgynon then buserlin and I responded really poorly to stims (never had an issue before or after). Felt like it shut my body down a bit too much!x
I guess it’s down to the individual but I was put on Buseralin for down regulation before my FET in Dec. Took it for 3 weeks then when I had my first scan they said it hasn’t worked at all. My ovaries were really active. Then my cycle was cancelled which I was gutted about. I was then put on Mycrogynon straight after that and waited for my next bleed to start treatment again they said this was to reset everything. It seemed to work because at my baseline scan everything looked good and they were able to proceed with frozen transfer this time without the down reg phase. X
