Egg collection: 6 eggs

Hi guys, quick update after my egg collection, I had seven follicles going into today, got 6 eggs that will be fertilised through ICSI now...one had too small of an egg to proceed.

Now waiting for my call tomorrow to find out how the fertilisation rates were - but for my stats I'm pleased with this stage of results...

Relaxing in bed recovering for today and trying to have a "what will be will be" attitude 💕

Hello, I wanted to send very good luck and a wave, I'm also at a similar stage this week (egg collection was on Monday). Sounds like we might be in a similar situation as I had around the same number of eggs as you, fingers crossed for us both.

Thank you!Had the dreaded day 3 call today, seems like things are going ok ish, but it's so hard to tell. Waiting till Saturday now. It sounds like 5 are still in the running, but two of those might not be very good quality. Although I analyse everything they say on day 3, I feel like for me it's often not a very good predictor of what will be happening by 5, so I just have to blooming wait till Saturday (oh man all the waiting!).

Overall I had quite a lot less eggs this round compared to my last (July 2020), which is probably mostly just due to chance/luck, but I can't help worrying it's also due to my age (I turned 41 since then). Who knows, there's so much uncertainty in this game isn't there.

I'm 41 also so I get it! Sounds like my clinic will either do 2 day transfer or day 5. I'm the same in that day 3 it always looked good and then they tended to stop growing after day 3.

I just read the changes you did for your third cycle, very similar for me! Menopur, short protocol and all the same supplements. Fingers crossed x
