Hi everyone I've avoided this site for 3 years has I had to but everything in a box for a while and just get on with life. Me and my other half fully agreed to IVF last august. We saw a specialist urologist who suggested sperm retrieval for my partner who had previously had a failed vasectomy. He underwent the procedure in January and it was successful and we got what we needed. I've now just signed off all my consent forms etc and waiting to start ivf with icsi on my next available cycle. I spent so much time distraught about the failed vasectomy and it's taken me 4 years in total to get to the next step down to emotions etc but it seems there is some light at the end of the tunnel

Hi Emma good for you to take your time I think this emotional rollercoaster really takes it’s toll and you need to do what you need to do for yourself, you are still a person outside of IVF and it is such a take over of your life I totally understand it. Great to hear you are ready for the next stage and I wish you all the best for the next steps xx
