LISINOPRIL AND AFIB
Many have simply replaced the
sodium
with potassium. I was never told this by my EP or Cardiologist as I eat one avocado a day and love oranges and sweet potatoes. Now I have to throw a lot of food away.

December and flare ups
I have suffered with chronic IBS D for over twenty years and I always seem to get worse this time of year, but I have no idea why! I have tried many different anti depressants to try to alleviate the problem, and I am currently on citalopram which doesn’t seem to do anything. I am resorting to taking

Blood tests
My husband was in hospital last Saturday with
sodium
levels at 125. He had a drop then sent home. Our gp has requested repeat bloods to monitor his
sodium
. I took him to the blood clinic and was turned away because it was full, even though they had just opened. Was told to make an appointment.

Covid question
I’ve avoided Covid up until now. My partner and I picked it up in Cuba. Started with what we thought was food poisoning, the dreaded diarrhea. It’s now been 14 days. We’ve had chills, fevers, fatigue and daily diarrhea. I’m at the final three months of V treatment so was advised to start the antiviral

potassium level
My
sodium
is at very bottom of range.( 135) it always has been. My potassium is 3.7 with a range of 3.5-5.5. I have tended to be around 4 or a tad higher. A year ago I was 3.8. I have been injecting every 3 weeks for a year and a half. Do I need more potassium?

Diazepam Stomach Cramps
I’ve had numerous attempts at getting off Diazepam with sometimes a couple of years clean . Anyway this year I started taking them again. I had gone up to 40mg a day. I had considered that a low amount , one of my episodes I was taking a lot more than that. At 40mg I started a very slow taper dropping

Generic Tirosint - Levothyroxine Sodium capsules USP made by Lannett - has anyone in the UK managed to obtain this medicine?
I would like to try Tirosint - to combine it with a trial of Liothyronine - I believe Tirosint is available from Roseway Labs on private prescription. But it's very expensive. I had heard that there was a generic version made in the US by Lannett Company Inc. Does anyone have any information about

Ferritin and Haemoglobin levels
Hi All, my husband had to abandon radium 223 when it was discovered that he had several lung nodules (around 8mm). His PSA has been increasing for the last 18 months (he was diagnosed August 2022) so his oncologist sent him for a scan after the 4th radium infusion which is how the lung nodules were discovered

loperamide
my doctor has advised I take this daily but I’m worried they will lose their effect over time and stop working. Does anyone else take Imodium daily and if so has this happened?

Following SOC here in BC Canada
I am currently at the CRPC stage of my disease. About 7 years since diagnosis. Started with ADT and Docetaxel. Was able to be castrate sensitive for 4.5 years. Tried to add Abiraterone and it failed after a couple of months. Had Radium 223 and it was okay but did nothing to the PSA. Cancer kept progressing

My husband has passed.
On Wednesday 17th April Ronnie suffered a brain hemorrhage in the late afternoon at home. He died in hospital in the early hours of Thursday 18th. He had just turned 71. He was diagnosed in January 2020. I believe that Radium 223 precipitated his death. I have written before here on his experiences

My experience with CKD
Along with
sodium
, potassium is usually the second highest level ingredient in many foods, and is bad for your kidneys if you eat too much of it. I also watch my
sodium
daily. That's another one that knocked off a lot of foods I ate.

GI issues post transplant
I am now 7 months post kidney transplant. I was fortunate to never be on dialysis and had a living donor. Things are going just fine with good lab work and I feel great. I am back doing most of what I did prior to transplant. Now the reason for my question is that the only thing I have had issues

Risedronate Sodium and teeth problems
I have recently been prescribed with Risedronate
Sodium
after a Dexa bone scan. I went to the dentist last week and I need an extraction. They explained to me that this drug can cause problems with the healing. I won't go into detail but sounds potentially horrific.
