Change in plans - looks like neuroendocrine
From my last post, I had an allergic reaction 15 minutes into my first dose of Docetaxel - part of a clinical trial combining Docetaxel and Xofigo (Radium-223). Two weeks later, I had a second reaction despite additional precautions (oral decadron 3 days prior, IV Benadryl and Decadron immediately prior

Options after Zytiga fails
I've been on the Magnitude clinical trial for 8 months and now Zytiga has failed. I have extensive bone mets (greater than 30). The most recent bone scan shows 5 new mets so I'll be off the trial. I'm in Canada and think my next options are either Radium 223 or chemo. I've had genetic testing and

Class 4 Medicines Defect Information, Syonell: sodium valproate
From time to time, members have mentioned taking
sodium
valproate. For that reason, it might be worth my posting this new MHRA alert.

Hi guys went for my bloods again as I am sub clinical hypothyroidism with low Vitamin D, folate & sodium but GP only prescribes folic acid.

Potassium in the diet
I know that too much salt in the diet is not good for you, so for many many years I've been using (sparingly) so-called "50%
sodium
salt, which is a mixture of 50%
sodium
chloride and 50% potassium chloride. It's readily available in supermarkets as a means of reducing your
sodium
intake.

The right doc. makes a world of difference!
I will also be adding
sodium
bicarb? something like that? I do have diabetis2 and high bp (which is very controlled) but I also have a seizure disorder and there is a medicine I'm on "Keppra" I've been on it for 2 years. She said that this med. could be a big part of my problem.

IBS, resection surgery and Imodium
I had a bowel resection surgery for a cyst about a year ago. They took 13 inches of my bowel out. Some small and some large intestine. I had IBS D before surgery but seemed to manage it by the way I would eat. Since surgery though it comes and goes way more frequently. I just started trying to use Imodium

Happy with gfr going up but....
The
sodium
result is especially surprising to me since I’ve made sure to stay away from adding any salt to any of my meals and being really careful with reading labels.

Is bread nutritious?
There are a couple of minerals that the bread beats the other two (most notably
sodium
/salt) but almost every other metric, the bread adds nothing to your diet. I've attached the vitamins. Click the link to see the other nutrients.
