Lisuride (Dopergin)
Lisuride, sold under the brand names Dopergin, Proclacam, and Revanil, is an antiparkinson agent of the iso-ergoline class, chemically related to the dopaminergic ergoline Parkinson's drugs. Currently it is not available in the US I could not find any single post mentioning this medicine. Was wondering

SLEEP APNOEA
Be careful with seeking a sleep apnoea diagnosis because if toggled with daytime sleepiness it could mean loss of your drivers license as you have to inform DVLA and they have the right to withdraw your license. You will be given a CPAP machine to use and providing you use it 80% of your sleeping hours

Google Doodle - caffeine - methyl donors.
You may have noticed the chemical diagram in today's (Feb 8, 2019) Google doodle. It represents caffeine & is in recognition of the 225th birthday of its discoverer, Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge (8 February 1794 – 25 March 1867). The thing I noticed is that the molecule has three - gasp - methyl groups

Pramipexole side effects
I've been on 2 x 0.88 Pramipexole for 6 months having spent all my adult life (I'm now almost 60) feeling tired during the day and very gradually getting RLS. I use a CPAP machine for central apnoeas, and then a sleep study showed that RLS/periodic limb movement was repeatedly waking me in the night.

Sleep apps and snoring apps, are they useful for fibro fighters?
Since I bought an iPhone several years ago I’ve been using the pre-installed alarm clock which supposedly monitors how much sleep or more accurately sleeplessness I get. This measures how much time I spend in bed or asleep...up to press it has never recorded how much sleep I get, just the hours I spend

Flap surgery
Hi there I had a chemo, mastectomy, radiation and now reconstruction on Tuesday. I decided to get the flap surgery instead of implant. Since I had radiation and skin isn’t same plus you will have to get another surgery in 5 years. Has anyone ever had the flap surgery where they use belly fat instead

Can sleeping tablets make sleep apnea worse?
Hi all, just had a quick question - can herbal sleeping tablets worsen sleep apnea? I am not actually diagnosed with it yet, but strongly suspect that that a what's happening. Took some herbal sleep aid last night and as soon as I was drifting off I would stop breathing every time. Woke myself up a few

Aching arms - CPAP mask
Good afternoon everyone, I wear a CPAP mask every night, as i am a retainer and i just wondered does anyone else at night suffer with pain in in their arms and shoulders whilst sleeping? It sometimes feels as though I have been sleeping to soundly on my arm and I have to turn over onto my other side.

New Here - Hello!
Hi I am new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed in 2008 with Type IIB, had double mastectomy, then two years later a full hysterectomy (BRCA gene). Then really was NED for 10 years. After reaching the 10 year milestone, I had a reoccurrence in my lungs and I am stage IV. Started on Faslodex

Dental Care and Parkinson’s
My last dental cleaning wasn’t a pleasant one because I was too tensed up to keep my mouth open for the extended period of time. I was tremoring as well. I was particularly struck with how little the doctor seemed to appreciate the unique issues with Parkinson’s. I am now searching for a dentist who

Endo fatigue and jetlag
Hi ladies, Fatigue is probably my worst endo symptom. For the last few weeks, it's been particularly bad and I've struggled to shake it off. In a month, I'll be required to go to the U.S for work. I'll be flying to the east coast on the Monday and back to London on the Thursday evening (landing on Friday

Melatonin helps sleep
Any words of wisdom regarding Melatonin as sleep aid? I've always been a light sleeper, sensitive to sounds, light, etc. in the past (50 years now), I blamed this problem on having raised children, always aware of unusual sounds, etc., in the night, which translates to interrupted sleep.. With PMR
