L-Tyrosine
Hi everyone, I have been given the name of this amino acid as a suggestion for use for my RL. Does anyone know of treatment with this and if so, any comments? I believe L-Tyrosine is a precursor to dopamine.

What do you do for work?
Hi Just curious to hear what people do for work post-BI (what type of work and in what capacity), and particularly how it fits in with your fatigue management. Do you work part-time or have flexible hours to help manage your fatigue effectively? Does your job still fatigue you despite trying to manage

What should I feel now?
Hi All On Monday 21st Jan I was 50 and it was also the day I went to hospital for the results after my mastectomy. I had already been through 7 very hard neo-adjuvant chemotherapy sessions up until Dec last year and op on 2/1/19. My consultant told me that my histology results showed no cancer left

What showed up on my scan? 🤷♀️
My latest scan showed no progression! And diminishing uptake over all in bone mets. Good news! But 2 things that were interesting and questionable were on there. First it said I had 2 healing fractures in my ribs. (News to me) And 2 I had thickening in mastectomy region similar to that produced by radiation

5-HTP - A Trigger?
I take quite a few supplements. These days before I buy anything new I Google the name of the supplement and AFib to see if I get any legitimate hits. Wanting to try a new sleep aid that has 25 mg of 5-HTP I was surprised to see a few references that said 5-HTP was a trigger for some. Because it helps

Sleep Paralysis?
Evening all! Quick question, does anyone else experience sleep paralysis? I remember one occasion in my teens but it’s frequent now. I’m lucky in that I get it when I’m falling asleep rather than when waking up which I believe is way more terrifying! It’s also not frightening, but I get stuck between

Neuro appointment
I saw my neuro on the 11th of February. Had to double our driving time due to a snow storm. He’s pretty happy with where things are. We only adjusted the time of day I take my second dose of ampyra. Interestingly, I asked him his go to med if I just can’t stand taking Rebif anymore. (I don’t have side

New invasive on mastectomy side.
I am new to this site and to metastatic breast cancer. I had a mastectomy 12 years ago for Dcis. Unfortunately I have now fallen into the less than 2% of people who get a cancer from the less than 5% of breast tissue left behind. I found fullness and a mass in the arm pit. Anyone else have this experience

Sleeping tips?
I have a question for all of you who has/had trouble sleeping... how did you regulate it? I’m trying so hard to set my sleeping pattern but I find myself awake every night untill 5AM or 6AM and then sleep untill 2PM 🤦🏼♀️ And oftentimes I feel sooo sleepy during the whole day but as soon as the night

Age.... what’s age?
I decided a long time ago that age was only a number. I used to purposely leave it off my CV if I was job hunting. This wasn’t because I was precious about it but because I knew whatever age I was I could do the job, probably just as well if not better than the younger ones. People often said to me

What treatments or tests from here?
So I am 40 and since having my second child in September I have had 3 exacerbations (also 1 bad one in pregnancy). I was sent to ambulatory care today as I am on day 10 taking 40mg pred a day, and still acutely ill. I was on Fostair 200/6 and am now trialling Seretide 50/500 to see if it gives better

Nocturia - for those who have it. Since my surgery 15 years ago, I regularly visit the bathroom twice each night to void the bladder. CPAP Trial - one week in
It’s interesting that there has been a lot of discussion here lately around sleep apnea. I’m one quarter of the way through my 4 week CPAP trial. Being claustrophobic I’m struggling but getting used to it. I’m determined to complete the trial and see if it helps my heart. This is the mask so it’s the
