Early onset Altzeimer's testing
Hi - can I ask my GP for a APOE test if I am concerned about my memory, or does it have to run in the family before they will test? Are there any specific tests I could ask for? I have just turned 60, and have to think carefully now about what to do with everyday things - pour milk in a cup etc, it

Surely I should be getting some of the twin pregnancy vibes?!
Such mixed emotions this morning. I’m due to take my trigger shot today, ready for egg collection on Monday. I got a phone call from my twin brother to say that he and his wife are expecting. They have no idea we’re going through ivf. I’m obviously thrilled for them but the timing of them telling me

Aria our best fan!!
Hello BLF friends 🍂🍁 Autumn is coming with pretty colours. I’ll take some pictures of the mountains when I can. Not in Milan where Bea has temperatures of 30 and Aria is saying to Liverpool how dare you score in extra time! Just how I feel 😉 Anyway still having respiratory physio every other day

Hello
I am 64 years old and was diagnosed over 10 years ago. I have been going to the gym 2 days a week (with a personal trainer) for about 9 of those 10 years. I have been fortunate in that I do not suffer with too many symptoms of PD and have not had to give up much. I am happily married, have 3 adult children

Sharing an uplifting song by Muse for those days when Lupus just needs it’s ass kicking quite frankly :) Anyone got any other suggestions?
Hi everyone, Just thought I’d try and share this track by Muse called ‘Dig Down’. I just think the words (and video) are just what’s needed on those mornings when I have to drag my aching body into work due to Lupus! Does anyone have any other uplifting, powerful tracks that help get them going? I’d

DA Weaning...😤
For the past two nights I have decreased my Mirapex from 1.0mg down to 0.5mg with the addition of Gabapentin 300mg in the afternoon and 300mg at bedtime. I’m forced to wean the Mirapex quickly because of the amount of Mirapex 0.25mg that she has given me, no refills after just 1 month. My entire body

adverse reaction to aromatherapy?

I was diagnosed in December 2017 with stage 2B lobular breast cancer. After a left breast mastectomy in January 2018, chemo, and radiation, the cancer has metastasized to my bones... Any advice on how to weather this new development?

Help with MMA and Cysteine test results
I've posted a couple of times and I'm trying to make sense of what's going on. Total B12 was in the 'normal range' when I was tested earlier in the year but I was fortunate in that the neurologist ordered an MMA test back at the beginning of May, again in June and then July. The July test result has

Need positive thoughts please 🤞
Hi everyone, Did my test on otd which was positive. I was very underwhelmed though as it was so faint. I phoned the clinic and the nurse said that it will be faint because it’s so early. I stupidly took another one this evening after spending the afternoon with my friend drinking decaf coffee and
