Since I bought an iPhone several years ago I’ve been using the pre-installed alarm clock which supposedly monitors how much sleep or more accurately sleeplessness I get. This measures how much time I spend in bed or asleep...up to press it has never recorded how much sleep I get, just the hours I spend in bed.
Recently I downloaded another app Sleep.ai Do I snore or grind? from the iPhone App Store which can be used free or you can invest in expensive gear, I use it free. This records you while you try and sleep and monitors your sleep patterns, snoring and/or grinding. I found out I snore most of the night, not very loudly but frequently.
Recently my OH and I decided to sleep ( or attempt to) separately and I found I could sleep slightly better ( he snores quite loud) on my own.
Apart from cutting back on caffeine, alcohol and technology before bed, I’m wondering if anyone else has a good tip or app which helps prepare for a restful night if not actual sleep?
Hi there my tip was to move to a different room over the years my Hubble put on weight ,his snoring is awful and I didn’t get any sleep (think would have been divorce ha ha if I had not done this) I have sleep apnea and wear full mask so this does stop the snoring but if I dose without it yes I snore now. My fit bit watch records my sleep pattern downloaded onto my lap top, very interesting to see when you have deep sleep, broken , light . Like you I do not have caffeine too near bedtime, Epsom salts baths is a must for me to relax and few drops of lavender oil too. Not for everyone I know but love the smell of lavender and spray my pillows with sleep mist as well. Mattresses I think quite important for a good night sleep as well . Hope other members come up with some useful tips, mug of hot chocolate for tonight. XX healthunlocked.com/fibromya... here is a link if you would like to lock your future posts .
Thanks Yasminta, I did forget to lock my post and, to be honest I had to rack my brains over how to even post something. But your idea of a hot chocolate sounds really tempting. We moved into separate rooms for a similar reason, though I have yet to be diagnosed with sleep apnea.
Hope you get some well deserved rest tonight xxx🤗🤗
