Multiple fibroids and endometriosis
Hi ladies, I’m in tears right now typing this message, I was recently diagnosed with multiple large fibroids, I also had a surgery for appendicitis but I was diagnosed with endometriosis after the surgery. The pain in my abdomen is excruciating, I feel alone, I am afraid to loose my job if I keep calling

Constipation post C-section - how much prune juice?!
I had my little boy on Monday by CS. I have now not managed to poop since Sunday 🙈 (being a new mum is so glamorous). Likely a combo of opiates during surgery, inactivity etc. Anyway, was prescribed lactulose in hospital and to take at home (home for 24h now) but no dice. Today I added in (what I consider

husband : more surgery
My husband is still in unconcious after a TBI. He has been responding to pain but today starting responding abnormally. They took him for a brain scan and found fluid (not sure if blood or csf) and now want to take him to theatre again and do a procedure to alleviate the pressure. This will hopefully

Shaking and 'nervy'
I've experienced shaking quite a lot since taking steroids for about eighteen months but now I seem to be in a constant nervous state, not "me" at all. I wake up by 5.00 every morning with my heart thumping and feeling shaky. I've tried the usual Rescue Remedy etc. ( but that just makes me cough) I've

endo in mid 40s and questions…
I’m sorry I’ve not posted for so long. I’ve had two surgeries before on my endometriosis and I’m now mid 40s. The last surgery was a good 5 years ago now and I just know it (or something) is back. The old tell tale signs are so frequent. But I wanted to know if any of you lovelies have ever had any

Adhesions
hello everyone, I had my lap yesterday & follow up in a few weeks. From what I can remember, no endo found but my bowel had severe adhesions sticking my bowel to my uterus. This is usually caused from previous surgery but this is my first time. Other causes are PID and endo but it couldn’t be

Nocturnal asthma
Hi, I hope everyone is well. I'm not too sure if there's any point in me posting this but maybe more of a way to vent. Since turning 29-30, I've spent the last 7 years struggling with nocturnal asthma and flare ups that usually get their worst in July -august and grass pollen season. Also causing some

Elbow Replacement Surgery P3 on Waiting List
Saw the elbow surgeon yesterday, he's putting me on the waiting list, category P3. Can someone explain what that means, categories were not mentioned when I had neurosurgery and hip replacements. Thanks.

Question re changing GP in same surgery and differing GP views. So sorry its a long one, added alot of health backstory incase its useful. I'm in the UK and was dx hypothyroid last year. Been titrating levo and got to about 1 this spring. Was doing OK, not brilliant and was certin I hahe Pernicious Anaemia

A timely reminder
Not sure if this post is allowable, but I hope it is for dog's sakes! My daughter is a vet, and already this year she has had to do emergency surgery on pets who have eaten the wrong things because of carelessness on the part of their owners. DO NOT give pets human food over the holiday period-it

Does anyone have experience of Radical Prostatectomy surgery or External Beam Therapy (with hormone therapy)?
Good morning, a fairly specific question: I had a HA in 2018 followed by single stent, diagnosis: Ischaemic heart disease, usual medication, rehab and all fine. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory demyalinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), rare and little known condition - not related to the

GCA flare
Diagnosed April 2018 with PMR. Three months later GCA. I am currently on 3mgs prednisolone. Over the last two days have scalp pain on right side only … no jaw pain. It feels a bit like I am getting a cold sore but no cold sore showing up. Could it be a GCA flare? Thank you to everyone who replies.

Negative again
I wish so much I could have posted a positive outcome. It’s 5:30am and I’m lying here , quite numb. No tears at all, just emptiness. I had a feeling it was negative but was still hopeful. Thinking surely this must be our time?! I find the hardest part now is telling my husband, breaking his heart too
