Hi, I had hemmies years ago which I had banded and also injected which seemed to solve the problem but then got an anal fissure and after struggling with it for years finally got surgery. Fast forward to now and I have constant pain in the rectum and am waiting for colonoscopy, my question is, does anyone else suffer with constant pain in the rectum? Thanks

Rectal pain
Hi,I'm male in my 40's with the same issue. I had fissure like symptoms around 16 yrs ago which cleared after a few months. A couple of years ago I again had fissure like symptoms but this time it turned to a permanent problem. I generally suffer from irritation and tightness and straining during BMs with almost no bleeding, but my main issue is pain when sitting. Tests haven't shown anything. There're a bunch of ailments I might associate with like pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain syndrom, levator ani syndrome, prostatitis, etc., all loose terms with no definite diagnosis. Whatever it is, it's exhausting me slowly but surely!
I know how you feel, constant pain and pressure wear you down, I’m thinking it’s nerve damage from the various procedures I’ve had, either way it’s not fun
Yes indeed! Do you have more pain when sitting? I also believe I have a sort of pelvic dyssynergia as my muscles don't relax and I always have to strain during BMs
