Sorry for the unpleasant photo! My nails have become really ridged and pale. Not sure if can see the ridges in the photo, but the ridges are like a darker colour than the nail and weirdly my nails seem to have an almost purple band at the nail bed. Does anyone else have the same thing? Is there a reason

Chickenpox!
On my way to visit my grandchildren and have just been told they possibly have chickenpox! Now I had chickenpox as a child but wondered is it safe to be in contact with them whilst I’m on steroids. I have googled it but still unclear. Due to arrive with them tomorrow afternoon.

Fenugreek for Skin Cell Renewal
Fenugreek is a rich source of vitamin B3 and Niacin, that helps in regeneration of skin cells and repair of damaged skin cells. Topical application of fenugreek can help in reducing wrinkles, fine lines and crow’s feet. There are many Super Effective Anti Aging Home Remedies and Fenugreek is one of them

New results and an update - Vit D, early Lyme Disease and what looks like vitiligo
Doc called this morning to check in (looks like throwing my toys out of the pram made a big difference!). Results came back and she said I'm severely Vit D deficient (result 22, didn't get the range but "severe" is good enough for me) and tested positive for "early" Lyme Disease. The D3 I bought is

CLL and skin cancer
I am wondering if others are having difficulty with skin cancers if they have CLL. Not sure if the skin cancer is progressing due to disease or side effect of Imbruvica. My mother has needed many progressive surgeries to treat her skin cancers and wants to come of the Imbruvica which seems to be helping

Scaphoidectomy with 4 corner fusion (cause Priesers Disease)
Almost 7 years ago I had my scophoid removed and a 4 corner fusion using a bone graft from my iliac crest. I was told it would last 10 yes but since I was so young it might not last that long ( I was 31 yes old at the time of surgery). I think it is starting to fail, I'm having pain again in my wrist

Do I have lyme Disease yes or not?
Hi good people. It's been said that if you have any of these bands in your labs then you have LYME D: 23 31 34 39 83/93; yet my labs didn't: 41KD 41KD; 41KD 58KD. MY labs video: https://youtu.be/yz7yDPQMs9w and even my infection specialist agreed on that; yet she refused to treat me for a possible

The Ironic Tee shirt. Aaaahahahahahahaha!
I’d been waiting to do my first park run after graduating in April but thought I would get lots of runs in first and had also decided to wait until after my significant birthday this week, reasoning that it was daft to have my run comparisons in two different age groups. Alarm set to Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket

Strong emotions causing HA?
Recently I had a HA 30 minutes after seeing my favourite football team lose a very important game. I had to have emergency CABG 1 week later as 3 of my arteries were found to be blocked after angiogram. My question is this: How can strong emotions be connected with my arteries being clogged up? To

Updates - there's always something more...
Well, it seems that I am not doing bad for someone who, before June 2018, had never stayed in hospital. If an NSTEMI wasn't enough on June 4th, I was admitted to A&E on Wednesday with dizziness, weakness, breathlessness, tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. Turns out that I have now been diagnosed with

The Myth that T3 causes Heart Problems?
I am always reading that GPs/Endos. say that excess T3 can cause heart attacks/irregular beats and yet I also read that T3 protects the heart; who is right. Here is a small extract from one of the studies I have read: Patients with heart disease frequently display a typical pattern of altered thyroid

Anyone experience increased allergic reaction to bug bites since having VM?
I had VM last May and It has taken best part of a year to feel back to my usual self. I moved to a hot climate last October and since then have had 5 episodes of cellulitis from bug bites. Could just be bad luck that I’m so allergic but wondering if the impact on my immune system from the VM could

Worried about the lack of information
Hello - I hope someone here can give me some information as I seem bereft of it at present. I am new hear so please bear with me. Four weeks ago today (4th June) I had a heart attack. I was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where I spent four days. An angiogram revealed that I need a triple bypass
