Simple answer is yes. I’m now 9 months post triple and still get some discomfort, more in the chest scar than the leg one. It’s nerve endings regrowing and reconnecting - it’s a long slow process but it does get better with time. If the pain persists or gets worse, go and see your GP just to get checked out.

Hi stevejb

I m sorry for being late response.Thank you for sharing your 9 months post op.In that mine just over 3 months and like you mentioned have to understand the body is working hard to heal it self and its crawling very slow

No problem. Not everyone replies. It takes time to heal. I'm now 10 months post op and I still get the odd twinge - nothing major but just enough to let me know its there. Hope all is going well

hi Makmum, I am just over three months post triple CABG and some days I have shooting pain in my chest, sore scar and soreness in my leg. I am have a scar on my left arm where they attempted to harvest an artery but unfortunately it wasn't suitable when they went in, this scar also has pain at times. I also still find it uncomfortable to sleep on my right side, although its getting easier and I find a comfortable position sometimes. I'm not sure if you are a woman or man, but I do find some underwire bras are more comfortable than others too. I think its just your body saying its 'healing' and unfortunately people heal differently. I would go and see your GP if you are at all worried. Best of luck x
