Bothersome side effect from afib
A bothersome side effect that I have experienced when I have an episode of AFib is very frequent urination about every 20 minutes for 1 1/2 hours. Is that side effect treatable? I understand it is caused by a fibrillating atria that releases a cardiac hormone called atrial natriuretic peptide.

add injury to my misery
I have had RLS for around 40 years. I was on ropineral for about 20 years and was taken off by Dr. B around 3 years ago. I tried methadone ( didn’t like the drug hangover), oxycodone ( worked fairly well for about 8 months) and am now on Buprenorphine/Naloxone sublingual film 1/5 or 1/4 of a film in

Progynova exhaustion - wow
Hey all, I'm currently on Progynova ahead of my FET (booked for next Tuesday, eek! Terrified and all of the emotions) and oh my goodness I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I know some side effects are normal but I was also sort of expecting not to feel much from these. Has anyone else felt so exhausted

Disopyramide Replacement?
Hi all, I have been on Disopyramide (Rhythmodan Retard 250mg) for the past 5/6 years, but now finding it almost impossible to obtain from the pharmacists in the Wiltshire area, so I am looking for an alternative. Back in January, my GP switched me to Bisprolol, but that didn't work as its rate rather

Itching for answers.... thankyou!
(Me = 80/JAK2 /ET/Hydroxycarbamide for 13years) I am very grateful to everyone that has replied to my list of queries about itching/pruritis. I have been aware for some years that it is a subject that has been repeatedly raised but felt that there did not seem to be a firm definition of cause or solution

"Weight loss drug could ease sleep apnoea in people with obesity, study says"
As RLS and obstructive sleep apnoea are often linked, this story about research concluding that tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) could become the first pharmaceutical treatment for OSA may be of interest: https://www.theguardian.com/society/article/2024/jun/21/weight-loss-drug-could-ease-sleep-apnoea-in-people-with-obesity-study-says

Buprenorphine Sublingual Tablets and journey to recovery
With amazing support here and guided to a GP that heard me and helped with Buprenorphine. Then saw a doctor at the Alcohol and Drug Clinic which went very well, delighted to see and hear about how the medication is helping me. Four months ago to now, I am a totally different person. Mentally and physically

Is there a chat network for people with osteoporosis in England?
I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis and my Dr prescribed Alendronic Acid 70 mg once a week, but after reading the side affects of taking it am unsure whether to take them. So far I have only broken my wrist bone about ten years ago when I had a fall, I have small aches and pains and have neuropathy

Alendronic acid tablets 😠
I’ve been taking these for a few months and understand that they have to be swallowed properly, and whilst upright, as they can cause problems in the oesophagus. Does anyone one else struggle with these blooming things, even with loads of water etc. Why oh why do they have to be the size of a horse

Anyone find cold plunge or sauna helpful?
I'm six weeks in on ADT. Working to stay ahead of fatigue with resistance training and weighted vest walking as I gear up for radiation and chemo in the next few months. Anyone done any cold plunge or sauna to help battle side effects or get better sleep? What was your experience?

Generic Tirosint - Levothyroxine Sodium capsules USP made by Lannett - has anyone in the UK managed to obtain this medicine?
I would like to try Tirosint - to combine it with a trial of Liothyronine - I believe Tirosint is available from Roseway Labs on private prescription. But it's very expensive. I had heard that there was a generic version made in the US by Lannett Company Inc. Does anyone have any information about

Hello everyone. My dad is 75 and for the last 4 years we have been on the understanding that he had gait apraxia. We saw a neurologist today who had been through his history over those years and has now diagnosed PSP-PAGF. I'm scared for him and what the future holds, not just for him, but for us as
