Shingrix
I have previously posted regarding my frustration at being unable to get the
Shingrix
vaccination on the NHS despite taking MTX at 20mg. I believe I would be eligible if I was on greater than 20mg as I am taking no other meds. I am 62 so also ineligible based on age.

Does anyone know how long you have to leave it after rutuximab before having the shingles vaccine. I had infusion in December & my GP has never offered this or the pneumonia jab so was going to chase this up. Tia

3 Days ago I had my first
Shingrix
jab. By the evening I felt like I had bad indigestion and the last 2 days I have had very unpleasant upper body aching, mainly in the chest and upper arms. Has any body else experienced similar side effects or should I be concerned.

A Shingrix thank you
Hi, I just wanted to thank so many of you who have spoken of your side effects with the second
Shingrix
, yet being worth it. It was when I recently read here that being only half vaccinated was still being open to Shingles that spurred me into getting the second one today, after 2 1/2 years.

Shingrix availability on PBS in Australia from 1 November has been confirmed
Immunocompetent adults will be eligible for
Shingrix
at the age of 70 (not younger or older) for a two dose schedule 2-6 months apart. Those 71-79 who are immunocompetent would need to pay for
Shingrix
if they requested it after 31 Oct 2023.

Shingrix Vaccine
Hi, would just be interested in your views/advice please.I apparently had shingles years ago in my 30s I think, but I had no rash. And I believe I had chickenpox as a child. Would it be advisable for me to still have the vaccine please? Thanks.

Shingrix Second Dose
l had my second jab on Thursday. Side affects are not as bad as the first, but I spent most of the night awake with shivers, aches and a horrible headache. Better today (Friday) but I feel cold and aches. That vaccine generates a good immune response.

Shingrix Side Effects
I just had my second vaccine. Day two my side effects included: muscle pain where the injection went in, migraine, and nauseous. I didn’t have those symptoms after the first vaccine with the exception of the muscle pain. Today is day three. I’m only experiencing a sore muscle where the injection went

shingrix vaccine
Contacted my GP surgery to request my vaccine. The receptionist was adamant I was not eligible. Saying I would get it next year when I am 70. I explained the NHS had sent me a letter explaining I should get antivirals if I got Covid. Told her my condition and that I was taking steroids. She said my name

Covid Vaccination
Having had the same problems with my second
Shingrix
vaccination, I wasn't surprised to have this happen. This time, it was my husband, who has never reacted before, was unwell with shaking and pain...although relatively mildly. I'm just wondering how others are responding.

Shingrix vaccine long term studies - good protection for 4 -7 years
I thought you would be interested in this article about how effective the
SHingrix
vaccine is, even when you are on corticosteroids. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/shingles-vaccine-offers-4-years-protection-2024a10000pq?

Retuximab and jabs
I'm due the first
shingrix
vaccine this week at GP surgery and was considering having the flu vaccine at the same time while I'm there. Its too late to ring my rheumatology helpline so I'm wondering if anyone on retuximab has had two jabs the same day, different arms. Thanks.

Can shingrix vaccination effect platelet count?
I’m not keen on increasing the dose and I’m due soon for my 2nd dose of
Shingrix
. Might the vaccine effect my platelet level. My flu jab is due as well and I’m wondering how to space all these vaccines .

Shingles vaccination - or not?
Shingrix
is available in my country (Norway) so I enquired of my GP about any recommendation in the light of my long-term polymyalgia (7+ years, maintained on 2.5 mg daily pred for about a year but unbelievably resistant to even very gradual reductions). I'm 71, no other medical conditions.

Shingrix vaccine for immunosuppressed people aged 50+
I thought I would just post this from the gov.uk website because I have just a bit of struggle convincing our surgery that I was eligible, so maybe other people haven't been invited either. The full list is on chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk

Shingrix vaccine and graves
Is it risky to have vaccines like
Shingrix
, is it likely to cause a flare up? Same applies to covid and flu vaccines. I cannot get a straight answer anywhere and specialist says ok for covid and flu but I have huge graces reaction to last covid jab in May. Any views or experience please?
