I have been advised to have the
Shingrix
vaccine and I feel I should, but I'm quite scared of the possible side effects being older and immune compromised. Has anyone here had the vaccine and how did you tolerate it, please?

Shingrix and Adalimumab
Hello Can anyone help with the spacing of Adalimumab and
Shingrix
vaccine? I have not yet started Adalimumab (been waiting over 6 months - long story!) but rheumy nurse says prescription now with pharmacy. Second
Shingrix
is due 16 July and not sure what margin to leave around this vaccine.

I would just like to thank everyone for sharing their experiences about having the
Shingrix
vaccine. It seems the consensus is that it’s far better to have the vaccine than risk getting a severe bout of shingles!Even if you do experience some side effects. I will go ahead and book with GP.

shingrix vaccine
Hi, Can anyone share their experience of having the
shingrix
vaccination. I am now on biologics and have been advised that I should have it. Are the side effects similar to the covid vaccination?

Shingles Jab
I noted that Lupus sufferers over 50 were supposed to be eligible for the
Shingrix
jab. However, after requesting one from the Surgery the receptionist said no. I did recently get the over 75s Covid booster without asking, courtesy of my immune system, , which I thought over the top.

Yes, You CAN have the Shingles Vaccine
Last October, a new vaccine called
Shingrix
came out and it is totally safe for all of us. I am now in my fourth week of this horrible shingles condition and believe me, PMR will seem like a walk in the park when the shingles have gone! Please get vaccinated if you haven't already.

Flare after Shingrix shingles vaccine?
Hi Everyone, I received my second (recombinant) shingles vaccine yesterday. The first one caused a mild fever and malaise. This time my finger joints are stiff and pretty painful. Has anyone else had something similar and, if so, how long did it last? Thanks so much

I have previously posted regarding my frustration at being unable to get the
Shingrix
vaccination on the NHS despite taking MTX at 20mg. I believe I would be eligible if I was on greater than 20mg as I am taking no other meds. I am 62 so also ineligible based on age.

Does anyone know how long you have to leave it after rutuximab before having the shingles vaccine. I had infusion in December & my GP has never offered this or the pneumonia jab so was going to chase this up. Tia

A Shingrix thank you
Hi, I just wanted to thank so many of you who have spoken of your side effects with the second
Shingrix
, yet being worth it. It was when I recently read here that being only half vaccinated was still being open to Shingles that spurred me into getting the second one today, after 2 1/2 years.

Update.
Things were looking up until 2 weeks ago, I had my
shingrix
booster and started to feel unwell after 2 days. I contacted my GP and the nurse said that it should subside.

Shingrix
3 Days ago I had my first
Shingrix
jab. By the evening I felt like I had bad indigestion and the last 2 days I have had very unpleasant upper body aching, mainly in the chest and upper arms. Has any body else experienced similar side effects or should I be concerned.

Covid Vaccination
Having had the same problems with my second
Shingrix
vaccination, I wasn't surprised to have this happen. This time, it was my husband, who has never reacted before, was unwell with shaking and pain...although relatively mildly. I'm just wondering how others are responding.

Shingrix vaccine long term studies - good protection for 4 -7 years
I thought you would be interested in this article about how effective the
SHingrix
vaccine is, even when you are on corticosteroids. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/shingles-vaccine-offers-4-years-protection-2024a10000pq?

Shingrix Second Dose
l had my second jab on Thursday. Side affects are not as bad as the first, but I spent most of the night awake with shivers, aches and a horrible headache. Better today (Friday) but I feel cold and aches. That vaccine generates a good immune response.

Shingrix Vaccine
Hi, would just be interested in your views/advice please.I apparently had shingles years ago in my 30s I think, but I had no rash. And I believe I had chickenpox as a child. Would it be advisable for me to still have the vaccine please? Thanks.
