Unbelievable
I truly believe googling has gotten me to this point, after getting a flu shot I started to feel bad then I’d google how the shot could affect me. Shortly afterwards I had days of not feeling well then I went to the Er & was told acid reflux, went back the very next night & the doc was confused to why

Reoccurrence despite mitomycin
Hi everyone I’m sorry to say my recent cystoscopy revealed two tiny tumours. It would have been two years clear so I was devastated. I know this tends to come back but we all hope it’s not going to. Next turbt (#5) is in two weeks. Anyone have something similar happen? I’d been on mitomycin monthly

Shingrix shingles vaccine approved by FDA
I just read this article published in the New York Times, April 10, 2018. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/09/well/why-you-should-get-the-new-shingles-vaccine.html The next to the last paragraph is probably most pertinent to us. I'm sure it hasn't been tested on people with PMR yet but perhaps with

Thyroid and HPV
My daughter has had HPV vaccine. She has always been borderline and under the drs for continuous monitoring of her thyroid. Since the vaccine her TSH level has risen and she has become fatigued could it have started her thyroid to get worse?

New research showing that a BCG vaccination may help Type 1’s lower their average blood glucose level
Has anyone seen this research paper or similar suggesting that the BCG vaccination may help lower blood glucose in tyoe 1 diabetics? If confirmed it throws more light on why people get Type 1 and may offer hope if a future treatment. Potential mechanism for BCG vaccine reversal of type 1 diabetes: Data

Inhaler side effects
Hi all, I was diagnosed with asthma at around 12 and with the flu jab it has been controlled. I had the flu jab last September but recently had to take my inhaler more often. I used to be on a light brown one (unsure of the correct name) but stopped taking it 2/3 years back and just use the Ventolin

Atrial Flutter and Shingles
Two years ago, after ankle reconstruction surgery, I was diagnosed with SVT. After two unsuccessful ablations (and Verapamil and Flecainide) my specialist said that I have Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia (MAT) and put me on Sotalol (40mg twice a day). That mostly kept things under control and if I had

Flu shot?
Hi everyone, I was wandering from an asthmatic POV, do people here get flu-shots, does it make any difference in flu prevention? I heard it makes you worst or I'm just looking into it too hard. Thanks David.

Hi all you lovely ladies, due to having shingles I had to miss having chemo last week. Had appointment with oncologist yesterday and said I could have chemo this Thursday all being well. Also having injection to boost my immune system. Still got some pain and itching which seems to be worse in the evening
