Shingles with muscle spasms

I've had shingles for about 8 weeks from my spine around to my navel. Recently muscle spasms in my stomach have started. They are nearly constant. Is there anything to be done about the spasams?

I got the "new" shingles vaccine in January which is a two part vaccine. I've not gotten the second half yet which was due in May....because it is so new the pharmacist didn't know if it would interact with the current bacterial antibiotic I've been on for tooth infection and also vaginitis, so he recommended I wait for my second dose when I'm off all antibiotics. I feel for you having shingles....it can be so painful. I hope you recover soon. xxoo

I was given Pregablin after the shingles pain and spasms wouldn't go it did help but not entirely, you have my sympathy.x

I too had pregablin after having shingles & it helped with the pain & I had diazepam for occasional use for spasms. Ended up having an operation to have the nerve cut due to severe post herpetic neuralgia which thankfully worked, but that was when the fibromyalgia reared its ugly head.
