So I went back to the doctors yesterday as I'm not coping with hardly anything at the moment. Think I might have to quit my job if I carry on the way I'm going

So anyway he put me on nepofam and clomipramine. He also ran some blood tests iron, b 12, inflammation, rhumatoid factor etc (the usual). But he also ran a test for lyme disease as it can look the same as fibromyalgia but can be treated with antibiotics. I have no idea why the gp didn't test for lyme disease when he was diagnosing me with fibro. If anyone has been camping or outdoors a lot or lived in rural places for a long time it's worth asking to be tested.

On a side note the clomipramine did the opposite of what it was supposed to do and meant I had about 3 hrs sleep last night but the nepofam is really working for my pain levels. Has anyone else had any experience with lyme and these new meds?

I am so genuinely sorry to read of your struggle and suffering and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck. I have read quite a few members saying that they had been tested for Lyme disease but only one of them had ever tested positive.

I do hope things improve for you soon. I had not heard of these meds, I'm on Pregabalin, Amitriptyline, Tegretol, Co-Dydramol and Arcoxia when my sciatica rears its head.

I find my TENs machine and meditation help when my muscles tense up.
