Just got back from my first run of week 9 and I am amazed but I did it, 30 minutes without stopping even though I swallowed a fly about 15 minutes in, it was quite a big bugger too, not ideal but I kept going. I know mentally that I can now run for a full 30 minutes so with just 2 more runs to go I am hoping that by the end of the week I will have graduated. Never thought I could do this, I hated running at school and hadn't done it since and my first couple of weeks of starting the programme were very hard with the shin splints and the ankle and knee pain and I remember thinking no way can I do this but I just wanted to see how far I could get and I am so glad that my curiosity got the better of me.
