Lyme Disease and hypothyroid?
Hello all As well as being hypothyroid I have sevear Chronic Fatigue. Just to cross things off the list I am working through all the possibilities that might be underpinning my CF. So I had a Lymes (elissa test) and the results state that I have been in contact with the Borrelia Burgdorferi bacterium

Leg pain
The only drawback has been the horrid pain I’ve got in my legs (
shin
splints
) - spoke to a physio at work who said that that is normal. Has anyone else experienced similar? What do you do to ease the pain. I’ve been trying to do some yoga stretches.

Bad nails
Does anyone have problems with their nails? The white part of the nails are getting bigger where the nail is not attached to my finger. The nails are also very thin and brittle so I can’t grow them long I just have to hide it with nail varnish as they look awful.

Week 8 Run 1
I am only running once sometimes twice a week now because of
shin
splints
. I’m making sure I’m stretching after every run and I’m icing them. Can anyone recommend what else I can do to prevent them or strengthen them.

Wow week 7!
I’ve recently been getting really bad
shin
splints
so I decided to take a week off and do my couch to 5k everyday on a stationary exercise bike which was amazing for my legs as they really needed a break from the impact.

Skin cancer does NOT only occur in moles‼️
Skin cancer does NOT only occur in moles‼️ The other (non-mole) basic warning signs we suggest you look out for are: 📍A new red or darker colour flaky patch that may be a little raised 📍A new flesh-coloured firm bump 📍An open sore that doesn't heal 📍A spot or sore that continues to itch, hurt

Shin splints
I’m suspecting that this is
shin
splints
. I am icing my legs and will have my usual rest day tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice? Should I keep on running?

Shin Splints - any tips so I can keep running?
This is the third week I have attempted W5 due to suffering with
shin
splints
. I have been resting in the hope they will get better but still no luck. I’m used to being on a treadmill and have not previously suffered with this. Does anyone have any tips that will so that I can keep going?

Week 9 Run 3 Fail 😭
This is my second time trying couch to 5k, last time I got to week 9 run 1 and had to stop because of terrible
shin
splints
. Since lockdown I thought it was the perfect time to try the plan again.

Checking in with a PB 🥳
Hey everyone, Thought I’d check in as I haven’t posted since my graduation run, I’m still keeping up with the running although I did have to take a couple of weeks off due to
shin
splints
(ouch btw) but the rest must have done me some good as I’ve just got back from my fastest 5k, I cracked the 30 minute

Confusion over cause of pain from cancer or side effects of Zolodex.
When we first complained many months ago about
shin
pain his oncologist said it was
shin
splints
, but never touched him. He does have fluid on his
shin
bones. He's had spot radiation on L4 that helped for about a year or a little more in 2016. L4 is lighting up again on the MRI.

Done it!
I had a few niggles along the way,
shin
splints
early on, ankle pain, knee pain allsorts, but with a good rest in between runs, I've got stronger. Not only has this process helped me physically but the metal benefits have been huge to a better life.
