Severe M.E. + Perimenopause. Titrating Armour NDT & T3, without side effects
I think I started my NDT + T3 too enthusiastically. As you do, when desperate for improvement. 🤪 ------ -May. Started 1/2 grain daily of 60mg Armour NDT. -Gradually worked up to 2 grains over 3 months. -Got a few heat surges in torso. Maybe perimeno symptoms? Dr said to be expected with age. -Felt

Blood test update
Following on from my first private blood test in May, I went private and started NDT in June. Moving forward to date, retested this week and the results are disappointing and I still do not feel myself. Results are posted below. Any advice, much appreciated. I have been gluten free, since June and

Armour Thyroid
A few questions Are NHS GPs prescribing Armour now? If so, how much does the NHS pay for Armour? Some years ago, research started to provide a research evidence base for Armour. Does anyone know if anything has come from this? At the time the research started the price of Armour rose. It seems to

Miscarriage fears.
Hi all, just had a scan in early pregnancy unit. I have made it to 8 weeks 5 days with good heartbeat but still lots of areas of haematoma around and above the pregnancy sac. On a higher dose of progesterone but still a real worry. Has anyone experienced anything similar. My last early pregnancy

Is NDT or T3 Cheaper or Easier To Source
Hi This is just a general question,I'm not asking for suppliers or specific prices.I'm using self sourced NDT presently.I bought it a few years ago and my recent bloods were so much better than on T4 only. I'm thinking about the future and wondered which is the cheaper option if I decide to

FET
Does anyone have any advise please. I have never been given any injection or meds to prevent ovulation before I start FET. Is that normal? I don’t have pcos so don’t have regular cycles but my first failed FET I had a dominant follicle and just before starting progesterone was given a hcg trigger?

Day 6 embryos and progesterone
Me again! Thought of a couple of questions after leaving our appointment which I’m sure people here will have answers to… We have 4 x day 6 and 2 x day 5 embryos left. They are all the same or very similar grades so I was told the embryologist will decide on the day basically, which they think look

Stopping meds - a bit of a worry!
Hey there! I just had a scan this morning at 9 weeks and all looking good and reassuringly to date (I was a few days behind at 6+6). Now my worry has turned to stopping my medication next week. I’m currently on prontogest injections every other day, utrogestan - 2 pessaries twice a day, and oestrogen

Would you make a complaint over this?
hello all, I'm trying to work out if I'm being unreasonable by making a complaint about this! I am away from home and have a urine infection. I tried calling the local GP surgery but they couldn't offer any help so I've gone via Lloyds pharmacy online Doctor and paid for a course of antibiotics

Tips for tolerating thyroid medication
Please can everyone share with me
all and any
of the things that made you able to tolerate thyroid hormones (that's T4, T3, T4+T3, NDT, any combination of those). I have tried every form & combination of thyroid hormone going, but I get suicidal levels of anxiety whenever I take anything

My endo experience left me in tears/banging head against the wall
So, finally after many many years of being hypothyroid with all the classic symptoms severely incapacitating me so I cannot work (and thyroid disease running in my family) but all my various NHS GPs down through the years insisting my bloods was always borderline so basically anything was all in my head

Why does improvement of symptoms seem to matter so little when treating hypothyroidism?
Quite a wordy title (and a lengthy post - sorry!), but it's something that has been bothering me ever since I passed the first 6 months post-TT, and even more so now, following @waveylines' post from earlier this week concerning the NHS' newly reiterated views on NDT (thank you for making such an informative

For Those on NDT
Hi This is a question for those who use NDT not via NHS,I'm considering not taking Levo for a while, I got much better blood results on Levo and NDT but it seems quite complicated using both and trying to get dosing right. I'm very grateful for the advice I've received. So one kindly forum member
