Levothyroxine & Midodrine

I wonder if anyone has any experience taking levothyroxine & midodrine at the same time.

I was started on midodrine 3-4 weeks ago and have just increased to 5mg 3x a day as these have a short half life and I have to take my last one 2-3pm to prevent impact to my sleep, it has been tight to fit it in my schedule between other meds and supplements.

The first one needs to be 1h before I get up which interferes with me taking levothyroxine half hour before anything else, my GP said they are fine to take together at the same time and no warnings came up on her system. Waiting 90mins to be able to get out of bed and go for a wee in the morning isn't all that practical so being able to take together would make quite the difference as only need to wait 60min for the midodrine to be working.

I can't easily shift taking levo to the eve as I take my HRT tablets at bedtime and so want a gap from taking Estradiol before the levothyroxine.

If okay to take at the same time with negligible impact to absorption of levo my current regime is:

6am midodrine & levothyroxine (get up 7am)

10am midodrine, morning supplements, anti histamine

2pm midodrine, afternoon supplements

9:30pm HRT (Estradiol & progesterone tablets)

10-11pm hopefully fallen sleep

You could try taking your levo a 4 pm, so that it's well away from everything else. Doesn't matter what time you take levo, as long as your stomach is empty, so two hours after eating.

thank you, as I wrote out the timings I did wonder that. My afternoon supplements are just tumeric and vitmain C so they shouldn't impact anything.

I think when I tried taking in eve previously they impacted sleep so took in morning but hopefully 4-5pm should be enough time for that not to be an issue
