Started having "auras" at the age of 36
Then one morning I woke up with bitten tongue and I assumed I had a
seizure
in my sleep, so I booked myself an appointment with my GP who referred me to a neurologist who in 7 minutes without any tests said I have epilepsy - only from what I told him! For what I know, I could have been lying.

Waiting for a diagnosis and I am so scared.
I managed her
seizure
at home and stayed calm but I am so scared. How quickly can I expect a diagnosis and some support? I am worried about it being the weekend and not being able to contact anyone to let them know she has had another
seizure
.

Seizure alert systems
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a specific
seizure
alert system? I have been reading all the information on epilepsy action website which is very helpful but they are not allowed to recommend a specific one, does anyone have any experience with these? Many thanks

Employment with FND
In June 2021, son's girlfriend was 7 weeks into a permanent job in a local authority nursery, when she had a non-epileptic
seizure
at work. Subsequent tests and appointments with a neurologist led, quite swiftly, to a diagnosis of FND. My daughter-in-law returned to work in January this year.

What's happened to me, where have I gone?
I never used to be scared of fainting in public, passing out, going pale, looking unwell, having a
seizure
. The world was something I saw as adventure, now anything outside my front door is an enemy to my mind. It's affected my relationships.

PD Dialysis - Week 6 - Houston we have a problem
When getting out of the car, a pain
seizure
hit in my back that dropped me to my knees. I spent 10 minutes crawling around on the pavement before I could pull myself up using the mirror on my car and get into his office. Once there I could not sit.

I have just been discharged from the hospital
I collapsed and had a
seizure
about two weeks ago during a filming production and my father and partner had to rush me to the hospital. It was a horrifying experience for them as I fell face first onto the road and started having a
seizure
. I was bleeding on my chin, arms, and legs.

FND seizures
I don't know what causes them because it always happens after I eat and when my heart rate is really high, but the weird thing is sometimes it happens right when I wake up and I don't even remember having a
seizure
I can just tell I had one because of the after effects.

Internal Tremors - a question
These can be confused with
seizure
activity but the EEG remains normal - Restless leg syndrome at night, which sometimes evolves into very violent jerks - Bruxism, (grinding teeth) which we often encounter in EDS patients could be related to dystonia Now my question is - I have seen many posts reporting

Switching from high dose Lamotrigine to Keppra
I'm currently on 700 mg Lamotrigine/day, but am still having a partial
seizure
every 3 to 4 weeks. It has been decided to swap me to Keppra from today. The consultant is putting me on 500mg Lamotrigine plus 2 x 500mg Keppra from today.

Fed Up
My recovery from seizures has now gone from 2 days to approx 7 for me to feel back to normal, and my
seizure
activity is a lot worse too. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Ok moaning over, tomorrow another day, first day of me weaning on to pregabalin!

What medication do people find most helps their lupus ? Can no longer take HCQ
I've given it a good try with the HCQ, no doubt it works as well, but for me with lupus brain damage, traumatic brain injury and a previous brain haemorrhage setting off seizures last year, as many of you know, the HCQ is unfortunately causing too many seizures by reducing my
seizure
threshold.
