Hi, my friend had a nocturnal seizure (while asleep) last september 2023, wasnt allowed to drive for 6 months from the date of the seizure and after mri’s on heart and brain all come back clear so got licence back in the march (6months later).

The GP googled interactions with the seizure medications but couldn't find anything to say these medicines cant be taken together. Does anyone else take the dizziness medication along with anti seizure meds. I'm on 500mg keppra twice a day and 50mf lacosamide twice a day.

Has any one had any experience of side effects when taking Levetiracetam? My Father who is 90 yrs old was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis approx 2 yrs ago. He has been taking Levetiracetam for a few months, and it is now gradually being increased. He has had an increase to daily 1g 500mg tablet

I had another seizure on Tuesday whilst on holiday up in Scotland, during my lunch in a cafe. Since then I’ve been sick three times, had heavy fatigue and had no appetite only one sandwich and two eggs on a piece of toast.

I was officially diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2024 after my 2nd tonic-clonic seizure and was prescribed 250mg of Levetiracetam (Keppra), which slowly increased as my seizures got worse. I had a 3rd seizure in June, then my 4th in August, my 5th in October and 6th in November 2024.

He currently has a portable cylinder and we run it as 10lpm during a seizure and it lasts 30 months. Jet 2 have said it is fine for the flight so I just need to find a similar cylinder to take. Thanks

Does anybody else have lupus symptoms from being on seizure meds for years?? I’m experiencing almost every symptom from Carbamazepine. I’m seeing a neurologist in March to see if maybe most of my symptoms are related.

Hey guys still in recovery from encephalitis about 8 weeks now , nothing feels the same anymore not even xmas ,I have a few days off work but have bad insomnia due to taking the anti seizure meds so waking up in the middle of the night with my own thoughts then your shattered the next day.

I can end up having all different types of seizure as well from absence, myoclonic, tonic clonic to the odd focal! It is absolutely awful!

Mayo Clinic says anti seizure medications like gabapentin can mimic lupus and once off the med the symptoms disappear. Anyone experience this and if yes what medication they use for RLS? Thank you!
