Hi, my friend had a nocturnal seizure (while asleep) last september 2023, wasnt allowed to drive for 6 months from the date of the seizure and after mri’s on heart and brain all come back clear so got licence back in the march (6months later).

Has any one had any experience of side effects when taking Levetiracetam? My Father who is 90 yrs old was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis approx 2 yrs ago. I was officially diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2024 after my 2nd tonic-clonic seizure and was prescribed 250mg of Levetiracetam (Keppra), which slowly increased as my seizures got worse. I had a 3rd seizure in June, then my 4th in August, my 5th in October and 6th in November 2024.

I had another seizure on Tuesday whilst on holiday up in Scotland, during my lunch in a cafe. Since then I’ve been sick three times, had heavy fatigue and had no appetite only one sandwich and two eggs on a piece of toast.

He currently has a portable cylinder and we run it as 10lpm during a seizure and it lasts 30 months. Jet 2 have said it is fine for the flight so I just need to find a similar cylinder to take. Thanks

About 3 weeks ago I suffered a seizure, and I am slowly getting back into life again.. I hope you know what I mean… 😵‍💫

Am fortunate, in years experiencing Focal Impaired seizures, I was aware immediately that any seizure I have, is incredibly precise in timing I.e.

Does anybody else have lupus symptoms from being on seizure meds for years?? I’m experiencing almost every symptom from Carbamazepine. I’m seeing a neurologist in March to see if maybe most of my symptoms are related.

I had an aunt who rang me up and said the most hurtful things, really let go, down the phone, she died a few days later, whether she had a seizure then that I will never know?

Thankfully I've only had one tonic-clonic seizure since the seizure that led to my diagnosis. The reason I'm posting here is how have people generally managed their seizures and what are some tips and tricks one can do to a) limit likelihood of seizures b) mitigate them if they happen.

After my son had his first awake seizure last November he’s been off work as he drives for a living. After many meetings he has now been medically discharged after 5 years in his job. He has a family to support so hopefully he can get another job locally or on the bus route.
