A Fresh Day
I have been through many horrific things and bear
scars
both mentally and pyhsically, but I try and compartmentalise them in the past. You can't change what has gone before, but you can change how you let it affect your present and future. Gosh, heavy stuff!!!

Anyone with a relative with CLL or SLL?
Bit of a dark question. Those of us with Hashi's - or "borderline Hashi's" as my GP likes to call it - have chronic lymphocytic thyroditis, right? And there is an association, not huge, with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. My brother has chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Both of our ailments are probably genetic

Fear, insecurity, helpless
I was badly burnt many years ago which I have the
scars
to show but I have never found out how they happened as that was during the time I get confused with my memory , I know I am a decent person just a bit screwed up perhaps do we all go through this but some handle it better than folk like me?

Who else gets meningitis?
Lastly, Ladies- do you have recurrent pain in the
scars
of genital ulcers? Like a sudden tinge every so often? I feel like no one talks about the downstairs business...and it's the worst part, in my opinion. Thanks-

Saying goodbye to a friend
Is it because we have no
scars
or outside physical evidence for them to see? So another day goes by and I have one less friend. I don't know why I feel so sad. It's not like she really cared. No phone calls, no offering me any help. Only judging me.

Abortion
Hi I'm booked in for my consultation next week and have been phoning for a cancellation everyday since to bring it forward. I am nervous but it's the right thing, I'm estimated a 8/9 weeks at the moment so will probably be around 10 weeks for the procedure- is it more likely to be a surgical? I will

Wear them with pride ladies.
Here are my photos of my
scars
from straight after the operation to nearly fully healed. They look even better than the bottom right photo now! The last photo was just before the stitches fell out.

Carpal tunnel from self harm??
Hi, I seen my GP about a year ago because of pain in my thumb and two fingers (closest to thumb) She thought I had created Carpal Tunnel with the self harm
scars
on my arm/wrist. She suggested wearing a wrist support specifically for carpal tunnel, which I have been on and off since then.

It is rather like looking at someone else's holiday snaps or people comparing their operation
scars
. Yes, I can ignore posts that don't interest me. But these postings are becoming too prevalent and contribute nothing to the discussion.

Soya in self tan
Unless I want to spend summer in trousers I am going to have to find a gluten free vegan self tan, which is about as niche a product as you can get. I have finally managed to find one or two, but they have soya oil in them. I know eating soya is bad for the thyroid, but is soya oil on the skin bad

Bacterial meningitis and septicemia
She has
scars
to her face, arms and legs because of the septicemia. She has told me before that she wished she had died and that she wants to kill herself.

I should be on display at Ripley's Believe it or Not....
I had surgery last year to diagnose and remove endo, and had my right tube and ovary removed at the same time. I still had bad pains after the surgery, it felt like nothing was done. So I just had another surgery on April 15th 2015. I had a complete hysterectomy and removal of the left fallopian tube
