Elective Caesarean on the NHS
Has anyone opted for a caesarean? I'm 33 weeks pregnant and off to see my consultant later and want to request to book a date for a c-section. Baby is currently transverse so there is no way he'll be delivered vaginally if he stays in this position, but even if he moves head down I really don't want

Life insurance (Update)
Around a year ago I wrote asking about taking out life insurance post transplant. Most insurance companies won't want anything to do with us due to being considered high risk from the transplant and medications that go with it. I have however found a policy from MetLife called MultiProtect which covers

Self-confidence..
I am lacking confidence in what I am trying to accomplish from my daily life to my medical journey.. It happens when I feel sick or tired.. Then I tend to procrastinate and postpone things to do... I tend to doubt.. It’s ok I know I must pull through, not let it slide.. I need reminding of the beauty

Hello, I wondered if anyone could give me some advice.. I'm loosing myself just now through stress and other people's opinions. My partner and I found out we were pregnant a few months ago. It wasn't planned and we were trying to be as careful as we could. I am epileptic, I was on sodium valporate

Possibility it's more then just anxiety/depression
I just wanted to check in with everyone and let them know that I am finding out that I probably have Fluoroquinolone Toxicity which can cause anxiety/depression. If you have ever taken any of the following: ciprofloxacin (Cipro), gemifloxacin (Factive), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox

Recovering from an ocd lapse. Taking it a day at a time and trying to stay focused but it's a struggle sometimes. I'm better than 2 months ago. I get anxiety when i get a bad thought and my ocd doesn't just let it go. Thoughts are just thoughts. I'm on 50mg of luvox its helping. But i would like reassurance

New scotoma after pregnancy-induced CSR?
At the beginning of my third trimester of pregnancy I developed central serous retinopathy in my left eye, age 39. I was told to wait it out until 1-2 months postpartum since it usually resolves itself at this time, but was still over 4 months of fluid on my retina and I had a great worsening of things

Adalimumab
Having had little success with methotrexate, followed by SSZ and HCQ, my lovely rheumatologist has suggested I start on Adalimumab (Humira), at the end of November, bloods and chest x ray permitting. Do any of you helpful lot take it on it's own, as my consultant indicated that, due to my poor results

Sorry for long post. I got offered a cesarean at the start of my pregnancy due to health reasons by my consultant. when i have asked my midwife and consultant (on pretty much every visit) about my options for birth they have said it was too early to discuss and i should wait till my 36/37 week appointment

Scarring after removal of epiretinal membrane
I had an epiretinal membrane and had it removed five years ago at the age of 66. It was unsuccessful, and that was because I was told that there is scarring in front of the retina. I was under the impression that nothing could be done, and my eyesight is significantly worse now than before the surgery

Levator Ani spasms
I had a sigmoid colectomy in March of 2011 and exactly one week to the day I came home from the hospita,l I started having severe rectal pressure, as if to have a bowel movement. For the following year, my colorectal doctor tried all kinds of medicines and therapies and said in his 20 years of practice

Skin prickling + itchy feeling w/o any rashes
Recently,I've been experiencing a sort of sharp prickly feeling on my body on and off along with feelings of itchiness, but there's no bug bites on my body whatsoever. It's making me freak out because this has not happened before. I read online that it could be due to parasites in the body, but it could
