Consolidation runs
I have been
running
3 times a week since and really enjoy it. Why didn't I do this years ago?? I ran for a short period in my 40's and hated it-out of bed, run, no warm up walk or cool down. I am now loving it and feel so much better.

CATCH up CORNER. DECEMBER. WEEK 1.... Come on in, there is a Warm Welcome.
It is just as important as the
running
and the exercises. Taking time out to sit back, relax and breathe. Do something, maybe just one thing that gives you time to do something for you. Some TLC for your mind and your body.

Another 3k
I still haven't got my good
running
shoes back (I left them at my brother's house last weekend) so decided on a 3k. Much as I'd have liked to go further it's not worth risking it with worn out trainers. The paths have almost dried out though there are still a couple of muddy patches.

The history of parkrun
fbclid=IwAR2NNVPFXmB2ZqsftlYLMq-VhcwgdYqf4bQQiMZa5zxfIX3ZXC4MSkCUm9k Looking at the photo, I'm slow because while everyone is walking or
running
off I'm taking photos so have a bit of catching up 😀

Running has carried me through
'I don't think you'll be able to keep
running
during radiotherapy' a nurse told me - fatigue being a major side effect. But I did. Sometimes I only managed 3k in 30 mins, but that still made a huge difference to me, mentally and physically. Last weekend I finally ran my first Parkrun!

🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️May Quest Week 1: Finish lines are just your next starting line!🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Maybe you’ve decided that you want to shake up your
running
and you’re ready to move outside your comfort zone? Even if you’re aiming to keep your
running
consistent, you’re still moving forwards every time you run.

Running up that hill…🥵🤣🙂🏃♀️
Taking advantage of no work this week, I was up and out for my 5K run just after 7am today - down through the local recreation grounds and over to some lovely fields where I have not run for ages. The stand out part of this route is a hill on one side of the field (which I ran twice, just for good measure

Running and Long Covid
When we went into the first lockdown, I was already ill in bed with Covid. It totally knocked me for six. I was ill for a month. Okay for a few days. Ill for a couple of weeks. Okay for a week. And then it really began. It developed into pneumonia that took some shifting. When I finally got out of bed

2023: W6R2 done!
-
running
is chaotic because I didn't know where to go. But everything turned out well in the end and W6R2 is finished. I don't know how it will turn out on Friday, but I'm not giving up yet :-) Happy

Horrendous but hilarious 5 mile first ever (and last) XC run
I decided to try a XC run before the end of the season, bought a pair of spikes and met up with our
running
club. I didn’t even know what the distance was until I got there 🙈 but was told 2 laps of a 5 mile route through fields, woodland and a swamp (yes an actual swamp).

Running gracefully and falling ungracefully...
Via Pilates for Runners I discovered Gracefull
Running
(yea, it really is with two Ls...). I had watched a little intro and practiced the G for Grow during my Wednesday run, which felt really good.

I had the impression that I was
running
really far and my legs still hurt :-). But the monitoring app reports only 5 kilometers. Weird. Maybe it's the climb? :-)

Welcome to the Forum and to
running
. To get you off to a great start we advise some simple stretching & flexing to avoid the niggly aches when we are not used to using these muscles.

I’m ashamed of where I am in life.
I constantly feel like I am stagnant and that my life isn’t progressing and it has gotten to a stage where I’m scared/ashamed of
running
into people I went to school with.

really heavy legs when I start running - would love some advice
I haven't been for a run since May, when I had a fall that really dented my confidence. I've persuaded myself to start again and I've been three times in the last week but my legs - and particularly my feet - feel like lead when I start to run. After about 5 minutes it gets a bit easier but I wonder

Brown circles around eyes with Lumigan
I don’t think my consultant would change my eyedrops lightly because I am experiencing progressive sight loss in one eye (have already had a trabeculectomy) and I think the options for other drops are
running
out.
