3 weeks into disimpaction and no elusive rusty tea.
Hello, I started a disimpaction regime for my 3 year old, 21 days ago. After two weeks we added a Senna Stimulant to assist and he has been on 8 sachets along with the Senna now for 3 weeks. Last Sunday he had a huge gravy like BM and I thought we had turned a corner, then back to lumpy (slightly watery

Incontinence pads: advice please
I’m looking after someone with PSP, symptoms started 2019/20, diagnosed 2021. Due to increasing mobility problems, he’s had a couple of accidents when he couldn’t get to the toilet in time. Just urine so far. Looking for advice & suggestions for incontinence pads. We’re in the London (UK) area.

intro / husband in critical care
Hi My husband has a road accident on 24/11 suffered an tbi and is currently in critical care. He has been off sedation since about the 27/11 but is still unconcious. He is responding to pain and has started to lift both arms when nurses fiddle with his tubes. He was off the ventilator all day yesterday

? Cover required for endometrial biopsy
I have been on prednisolone for over 2 years now and still on 10mg. I have a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy planned tomorrow and although this is only a minor procedure with no general anaesthetic or sedation, I’m just wondering whether I will need any extra steroid cover? Does anyone have any knowledge

19th July: Today is THE day….
….that back on May 1st I did not want to reach from a couch position. I wanted to complete C25K by today and had a margin for repeating weeks/injury etc which luckily I didn’t need. I didn’t care about the distance and didn’t even identify what it was – just wanted get to the “run” for 30 mins status

Second repeat disimpaction?
Our 5 yo daughter was diagnosed with constipation in April this year, following incidents with poo and wee soiling. We disimpacted her successfully at the time using cosmocol (it took 11 days in total until we reached rusty water stage). We went to the highest maintenance dose. (4 sachets in line with

PIP tribunal TBI
Tomorow I have to attend my PIP tribunal hearing. I suffered my brain injury four and a half years ago and have now been in the PIP system for 16 months. Hiding head injury
Four and a half years ago I had a concussion and I am still experiencing periods in which I have balance and coordination problems, fatigue, can't concentrate and am easily feeling overwhelmed. Since then I have picked up freelance work again, working outdoors and in educational contexts part-time.

Care Home response
Please can I thank everyone who sent a response to my original post. It is encouraging to hear from so many of you who have similar stories. My husband is responding well to the care home and the staff are lovely. I have had a lot of support from the health professionals , consultant, physio, speech

Adrenal crisis experiences & prevention please.
After witnessing mum’s full on adrenal crisis - unconscious for 90mins - we are thankfully now back home. I have emergency hydrocortisone and packs to read regarding all the different sick day rules. The endocrine nurses were lovely and I now have their contact details, but I am wondering if any

Pride and discrimination, but love wins
Hi all, Cannot believe I'm saying this, when it is Pride Bristol this weekend. Pride is not my thing, as Festival type events are too "peoply" for me. I'd rather have some quiet time. But Pride is important. It celebrates life and diversity. And yes, don't we need it? We passed up on it. Not because

So, it was hot, it was humid with a few spots of rain! My support crew ( my daughter and grandson) were out on the course as Daddy was Marshalling for Park Run as daddy has a 1/2 marathon tomorrow! My aim for today was keep it steady due to the weather conditions! As a precaution I had already had

Swollen painful hand
I've had PMR for 2 years. Was started on 40 mg of prednisone. I have slowly gotten down to 13 mg. Recently I tapered to 12 mg but have not felt very well & suddenly my right hand fingers are swollen & very painful. This has never happened before. Is this some kind of flare?

husband diagnosed with PSP
My husband had a bleed to the brain 5 years ago and fell causing a traumatic brain injury, over the years his mobility has got worse, his memory isn’t good and he can’t remember where the bedroom or toilet is. I put it all down to his brain injury, had a face to face appointment with his neurologist
