Please can I thank everyone who sent a response to my original post. It is encouraging to hear from so many of you who have similar stories.
My husband is responding well to the care home and the staff are lovely.
I have had a lot of support from the health professionals , consultant, physio, speech therapy and dietitian.
Palliative Care team have also been in touch.
He has good friends who visit him so even if his communication skills are compromised he can see they are here for him.
I am so grateful for this help and this forum is such a support. Thank you.
