Joint pain
I started on an aromatese inhibitor about a year ago. At first I had some pain and weakness in my right wrist. This eventually went away. I am now having pain in my shoulders but mostly in my knees. I have been pretty active. Now the pain is so tiring and depressing. I got a massage yesterday and

i am advised i may need fixation of great toe joint to relieve the pain of bunions. i have previously had pain relieving injections but the surgeon will only give this once yearly. has anyone else had this surgery? how much physical mobility does the fixation allow afterwards - garden, walk, cycle

Pain After Exercise
This is my first time posting and I’m new to all this so apologies if I’ve done something wrong! I’ve recently had a diagnosis of endometriosis after years of bad periods. The specialist during my laparoscopy burnt away the endometriosis patches (I now know this is not the most ideal way of treating

Covid 19 Vaccine side effects
I had my vaccine on Saturday morning during the night I woke with pain all over and breathing difficulties . Has anyone else had such things happen? As I had a problem with Fridays test at hospital I can't be sure if its that . Seems to have lessened with painkillers and inhaler . Just don't normally

Help with test results
So I decided to check my blood before starting a trail of 50mcg of Levothyroxine. I tested at 6.20 am compared to my usual later time of 10am. I’m confused because the morning before I ended up in A&E from taking too many pain killers and they tested my blood around the same time. My results are greatly

cardiac ablation good experience
hi everyone, I have just had my cardiac catheter ablation for my ventricular ectopic beats ( I have a very high ectopic load) It has gone well and I was really well looked after by the team . In case anyone is waiting for their ablation thought it might be helpful to share my experience. In my case

safe painkiller use with tinnitus?
hi folks I have noise induced tinnitus and hyperacusis been living with it about 5 years. my question is apart from paracetamol which pain killer can I use without risking exacerbating tinnitus? I have an old injury that flares up now and again. I used to control it with ibuprofen but I understand

At last I know.
Spoke to the doctor today and at last I know I have ET .I have fibromyalgia and the symptoms got my brain thinking it was MF. My white blood cells have been raised for years, kept being given iron tablets. Infections all the time. But my husband died in 2019 and I moved in with my daughter. Her Dr. Took

Sorry if this is depressing 😞
I feel trapped. I had my laparoscopy surgery in February and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Since the surgery my pain has leveled up, it’s so much worse and it’s throughout the month, not just when I’m on my period anymore. I feel trapped by this illness, I have maybe one week out of the month where

how do you deal with the bad days?
hi all, diagnosed with endo last November after a laparoscopy after about 14 years of symptoms and pain. Even though I’m glad to have the clarity about what the issue is as the uncertainty was awful, some days I just feel so sad and down that this is my future. I still have a lot of pain and especially

Want to tell Rheumy to Jog on Or not

So fed up
Hi, I've got osteoarthritis and it's getting to the point where the can't enjoy everyday things. I can't walk far without both hips burning. My ankles aching. Can't pick things up without dropping them. Back aches, neck aches, knee pain and now I can't use my right arm as my shoulder joint is extremely

Consultant won’t operate for pain.
Hi All, I hope everyone has had a peaceful weekend! After 20 years of unbearable pelvic pain throughout my period and ovulation and periods so heavy I daren’t leave the house, I was finally deemed ‘old enough’ for a referral to the gynaecologist (I’m 31 and have been told my entire life by medical

Disappointed and worried
Hi, Finally, i had my appointment with a Rheumatologist consultant. I went through my history of pain, I was initially diagnosed with PMR in sept last year by G.P who started me on 15mg Prednisolone, and a miracle happened. I also explained that unfortunately, I have been unable to successfully reduce

Broken right clavicle, 2011, even now shoulder blade pops out, and...
In 2011 I had a seizure, and 'hurt' my shoulder, went down to A&E and had it X-rayed, gave me a couple of pain killers, 'pushed' me off home,🙄 and went back to watching a certain royal wedding, 6 days later, they rang me back telling me to come back, showed me the x-ray and indeed had broken clavicle

Cholestyramine
My husband has had explosive diarrhea since mid February. After blood tests, stool samples, colonoscopy, and more stool samples, they are not able to determine what is causing the diarrhea. The doctor has prescribed Cholestyramine. Has anyone had experience with this medication and did it help?

My father died after spending 2 weeks in a coma due severe sepsis and multi organ failure. I love him so much.
He spent a week in ICU at his local hospital where he was extremely poorly and he briefly stopped breathing during a routine nursing manoeuvre, but recovered by himself without any resuscitation it was then when they put him into coma (intubated and given propofol and fentanyl) and moved him to an ICU
