This is my first time posting and I’m new to all this so apologies if I’ve done something wrong!
I’ve recently had a diagnosis of endometriosis after years of bad periods. The specialist during my laparoscopy burnt away the endometriosis patches (I now know this is not the most ideal way of treating it) but said there was only one small patch and that I should no longer feel any pain. However, I am still getting quite a lot of pain and especially after running. I really enjoy running and I’d hate to have to stop but currently I’m getting cramping pain during the run and then general soreness and tenderness of my whole abdomen for days after which over the counter painkillers don’t help with.
Is there anything I can be doing differently, or anyone else that also has this problem?
There are many reasons why I wasn’t happy with my treatment from this particular doctor so I am open to getting another opinion but I was hoping not to have to do this for a while (just hoping for some time free of medical appointments!)

Sorry you are still getting pain. Not sure when your surgery was but your body might still be healing, it can take a while. Because incisions are small we forget about what the treatment entails.
If you think Endo was missed ask GP to refer you to a specialist, it’ll take a while anyway and request a copy of your hospital records so you can see the notes, there is often more info than you were told. There should be contact details for this on the hospital website.
I find heat pads work well, I have a rechargeable one so can wear anywhere, could be useful on a run. That and meds from GP.
